Deb Kannenberg Activities Director From the Resort Managers As I sit to type this note, I can’t help but think how fast time went by this season. With the birth of our new granddaughter, Ellis and our first granddaughter, Emerson who is already 3, I couldn’t help but think how true that statement is. I found the below in a science study and thought I would share it: “There are various theories about why the years pass as you get older. But I read a theory that spurned that explanation. The theory states that time passes faster when we are in a set routine, when we aren't learning anything new, when we stay stuck in a life pattern. The key to making time slow down is to have new experiences. You may joke that the week you went on vacation flew by far too quickly, but if you stop and think about it, that week actually seemed to last much longer than one involving the drudgery of your day job. You are complaining about it going away so fast because you loved it, not because it felt as though time was passing faster.” Keith and I were so happy to see so many of you having fun this year and we miss all that couldn’t make it this season. We hope that you were able to try new things while you were visiting Val Vista Villages. On behalf of all our wonderful staff, we wish you all a safe and happy Summer and can’t wait to see you all return in the Fall!
