So You finna be a dictator Being a dictator means that you have to be ruthless and mean. Hitler, Hitler was a very ruthless and heckie mean because he gassed his own people. KIm jong un is the big mean to people because he doesn't give them free speech.

What it means to be a dictator Being a dictator means you gotta do some thing that other politicians don't really do like scaring people into voting for you.

How to keep your power Keeping your power is kinda hard. You gotta kill anybody that tries to take your power. Doing that would scare other people from coming after your power.

Also keeping power Dictators also brainwash their citizens. HItler and stalin both had posters up around there country. Hitler had book burning sessions.

Another keeping power Repression opposition means getting rid of people or scaring people enough to where they don't want to do it like when hitler killed people that opposed him or when stalin had mass shootings

Justifying all of it Dictators justifying killing people by saying thing like they were ruining the country. Like when hitler gassed the jewish population of his country because they caused the great depression and when stalin shot everybody who we thought would ruin the economy.

The police The police was used for controlling the people like when hitler has his police outside of people homes and when Kim Jong Un arrest anybody who talks bad about of him.

propaganda Propaganda is when a country lies about it to make it seem better. Like when hitler had speeches about his country and when Kim Jong Un parades his military.

Controlling social media and the internet. Xi jinping the leader of china controls the media by saying more than it does. HE keeps them controlled by limiting their ability to speak about their country. ○ King Salman aims to control the media of his country. He punishes those who speak out against him.

Nationalism/genocide Nationalism is putting one country's needs in front of others. Genocide is the mass killing of one group of people Bashar al assad attacked his own people An ethnic conflict is a conflict between two or more contending ethnic groups. These concepts help dictators control their power by allowing them to use there people for there own gains

The laws. Dictators play with laws in manny ways.like when putin always gets back into office because he has to leave but he has somebody go into office for him.
