TQF 3 Course Specifications The course specifications constitute a syllabus of a given course. The syllabus provides information related to the management of each course according to the teaching/learning plans required by the curriculum. The syllabus shall have a clearly stated set of objectives, contents, means of enhancing various skills and other qualities to be developed in the students based on the course objectives. Moreover, the syllabus provides a detailed description of the teaching schedule, methods, assessment, evaluation and references and/or other materials related to the students’ fulfillment of the course. Finally, the syllabus includes strategies for course evaluation and improvement. 3 TQF 3 Section 2 Course Syllabus 1. Course Description Concepts and development of occupational health and safety; safety at work; cause and nature of accidents and incidents; accident; occupational diseases; toxicology, occupational health and safety problem among workers; role of safety officers, law and regulations. 2. Course Objectives It is a guideline for offering the knowledge and allowing the students to be capable of applying the Fundamental of Occupational Health and Safety knowledge into practices and health and science field the benefits of learning the health. After completing this course, students should be able to 1. Comply with punctual 2. Explain core knowledge of health and safety in the workplace, health and safety in the industry or particular fields including health and safety for individuals and occupations in details, must be able to explain the core concept of handling emergencies such as the concept of contingency plan 3. Analyse the particular situations when individuals, entrepreneurs or industrials performance facing unexpected situations of health and safety and utilising the relevant knowledge for the solutions 4. Responsible to the role and assigned tasks effectively 5. Have a good comprehension of both Thai and English in order to deliver an effective communication including listening, speaking, reading and writing, then utilise the effective tools for conducting the presentation 3. Reasons for Development/ Course Improvement (if required) 1. For developing teaching methods which focus the learners as the core of learning contribution. It could encourage students to comply with useful knowledge, ethics and morality for individuals and the career of Fundamental of Occupational Health and Safety. 2.
