Twinkling Stars St. Arnold's Central School, Pune

Editorial “To me the greatest pleasure of writing is not what it’s about, But the inner music the words make” Truman Capote -- …..In agreement with the above quote, writing is the most valuable literary expression. Blessed are those who can express themselves eloquently, for not only do they have imagination, Ideas and required words, but also the necessary skills to pen them down in an effectual and imposing manner. The Arnold's school magazine 2020 –2021 present one such opportunity for students and teachers to let their imagination flow. Through this magazine , student have had the liberty to pour their heart out. Our Principal Fr. Joyson Kurian , Has been instrumental along with the teacher in encouraging student to write.

Life passes down great experiences to all of us. Some times these experiences go much more than just a memory. They go into the teachings of life During this pandemic, I realized that life is full of uncertainties. As humans we plan both our lives and our schedules as best as we can, not accepting the fact that it may not workout. I feel if we are able to accept the fact that we can not eliminate Uncertainty in our lives, then we become open to all possibilities and infinity of choices . As a teacher , during this lockdown (uncertain ,unplanned ……event) experienced that my life became an Adventure, Excitement and to a certain extend almost Magical, because I learnt too many new things 1. specially the electronic media and its usage. 2. Excitement to make various videos ,online activities ……….. etc. 3. Magical because every challenge be it as a teacher or as an individual ,was faced with Confidence. Therefore I have no choice but to embrace Uncertainties of life.

we spent our summer vacations at home but I enjoyed this too as it was a change from our routine. I could spend a lot of time with my dad as he was working from home. We baked a cake together and did many other activities together. I also enjoyed my online classes, both school classes and dance classes. My online dance classes helped in keeping me active throughout this In the month of March I was very excited as my exams had got over and I was supposed to visit my grandmother, but the excitement was short-lived as the government declared a nationwide lockdown on 24th of March 2020. In the beginning I felt very sad, I could not travel anywhere, even the school was closed. Even the shopping malls and parks had closed down. I was really bored staying at home all day. This was the first time period. I also used to spend my time after the online classes watching informative and general knowledge based videos, I even tried learning keyboard and new language. Overall the lockdown became a blessing in disguise as it enabled me to recognize my hidden talents. Despite facing so many challenges we survived and succeeded in the end and that is what matters.

During this Christmas vacation, my family and I went to Alibag ,by a ferry boat. And I enjoyed watching many birds around the boat we finally reached the location. When we reached, our room we rested for a while and after sometime went to the beach and enjoyed playing in the water along with the different rides, and this way all of us enjoyed this trip very much...... My house is red – a little house. A happy child I am, I laugh and play the whole day long Hardly ever cry. I have a tree a green, green tree, To shade me from the sun, And under it I often sit , When all my play is done.

My school is big and it’s the best, It’s better than the rest, I never miss a day Because I like to learn and play. I love to play and run, All our activities are such fun. During our classes we study very well Please do not disturb us until the bell.

Brown and furry ,caterpillar in a hurry. Take your walk to the shady leaf Or stalk or what not which may be the chosen spot No toad spy you, hovering birds of prey pass by you, Spin and die to live again a butterfly.

There was a girl named Bela. She was very intelligent. She lived in a small village. one day when she was about to drink water, she realized that her mother works for every family member and doesn’t refuse to serve anyone. Bela thought of helping her mother and She showed her willingness to extend a helping hand to her. Since then, she always helped her parents and villagers. She also enjoys it, because she believes happiness is in helping everyone. Moral: we should notice the hard work of others be thoughtful.

Real problem of the year Coronavirus is a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans and birds, they cause respiratory tract infections that can range from mild to lethal. Mild illnesses in humans include some cases of the common cold (which is also caused by other viruses, predominantly rhinoviruses), while more lethal varieties can cause SARS, MERS, and COVID-19. In cows and pigs they cause diarrhea, while in mice they cause hepatitis and encephalomyelitis. Coronaviruses constitute the subfamily Orthocoronavirinae, in the family Coronaviridae, order Nidovirales, and realm Ribovirus. They are enveloped viruses with a positive-sense single-stranded RNA genome and a nucleocapsid of helical symmetry .The genome size of coronaviruses ranges from approximately 26 to 32 kilobases, one of the largest among RNA viruses. They have characteristic club-shaped spikes that project from their surface, which in electron micrographs create an image reminiscent of the solar corona, from which their name derives. Dear 2020, thank you for giving us many life changing lessons but you taught us in extremely hard way. Our question to you is could there be any easier way to teach? I mean yes, I have heard many successful people saying that they have learnt from most of failures or difficult life lessons, from bad experiences and yes, they were right because in 2020 this huge dangerous pandemic has impacted the whole world. As humans we didn’t have any option but to be hopeful and be prepared for any situation. the earth gives what we need. we realized and learnt that the planet doesn't need us, but we need it. Even without us animals and birds were happy. They were free but we were in trap. Dear 2020 you taught us to be more responsible for nature It’s now time to say you thank you 2020 for teaching us a beautiful lesson. I will always remember you.

To our Principal, Fr. Joyson, for the encouragement.
