Themes Bread of my grandmother Method: participating and practical learning and KWL method Active inclusion of families in the process of baking bread: preparation and baking bread and holiday pies. This activity promotes intergenerational connections. We use the method KWL (What I already know? – What I want to know? - What have I learned?) and discuss and talk about our ancestors, about their childhood, immigrations – where they come from. Learning about typical bread in the childhood of our parents and grandparents, which ingredients did the bread contain, how were the ingredients grown and produced and how the traditional bread baking process did took place. Get to know old tools and devices for baking, old customs and habits connected with the bread tradition in everyday life and during the holidays. -What sort of bread is baked elsewhere? -Activities in classrooms and kindergarten groups: children baked traditional bread (pies, roll cakes,…) after exchanging recipes. 7
Themes My hometown in the past Method: KWL and method working with pictures, maps and photographs, method collaborative and practical learning action: - collect old and new photographs and postcards of the hometown; - pick a building, which has an important meaning for them, will visit it, explore it's past, search and read stories and poems; 8
Themes Finger games Method: method collaborative and practical learning, KWL and children activity method. We will learn traditional finger games. We will collect games played with younger children and finger games, freely translate them and present them to children. We will also invite grandparents of children to gathering content. One of the finger games of each partner country of the games, will be presented in a brochure in the national language and in the font, translations into the languages of the partner countries and in English. 9

DANCE WORKSHOP for teachers- In cooperation with KUD Preska and Urška Rožanc, professional leader of the folklore group KUD Oton Župančič Sora, we conducted a workshop on Folklore dances for preschool children. The workshop was attended by educators and assistant educators of the Šentvid Kindergarten. 17
