1 A Farewell Letter from Superintedent Tiffany Morgan To the Armorel Class of 2021: Graduation is a monumental passage into the next chapter of your life. Some of your school days may have felt like they were taking forever. Other days felt like life was flying by. Maybe you are excited to leave, because you have big plans for college, or a job, or maybe you are just ready to get away from your teachers or your parents. Maybe you are terrified because you have no clue of what to expect in the “real world”. You are moving from childhood into adulthood, from dependence into independence. At this threshold in your life, I would like to offer some words of wisdom learned by experience. When you have successes and when you win, do it with humility. Always be kind, love completely, dream big, set goals, plan, and have faith. Enjoy life, friends, and family! Always be caught smiling, think happy thoughts, and laugh a lot. Speak words of affirmation and encouragement to others and to yourself. Surround yourself with positive people and believe in yourself. Unpredictable things will happen to you through the course of your life. Some of those will be won- derful experiences but, unfortunately not all will. There will be disappointments, heartaches, and hard times. These my friends, are all patterns in life. When you will make mistakes, learn from them, and don’t repeat them. You will lose but lose with grace. You will cry and that is okay because sometimes that is the only thing that will help. You will be overwhelmed. That is okay too. Prioritize, plan, and address it one piece at a time. You will struggle, you will get knocked down, and you will fall. When you do, get up! GET UP and know, you learn more from the hard times. Think of each hard time as a blessing and learning opportunity! This may sound crazy but be thankful for the hard times. Use your words like gold. Spend them wisely. Do not say something that you will later regret. Listen to understand, do not listen to defend or to react. See someone else’s perspective. Don’t compromise your character, values, or morals for anyone and don’t ask someone else to compromise theirs. Stand up for what you believe in and who you believe in. Get up, have faith and hope. Always believe in the power of love, most especially a love for yourself. Always take a deep breath, look around and know you are enough to weather any storm. You are now the member of two new families. Two families that will always be a part of who you are. First, you are a member of the AHS Class of 2021. Second, you have joined the elite organiza- tion of Armorel Alumni. Neither of these can be taken from you. Nor can the diploma and education from this outstanding school! Forever more you ARE the Class of 2021 AND Armorel Alumni! Congratulations! Sincerely, Superintendent Tiffany Morgan
A Farewell Letter 2 from Principal Tony Crowell To the Armorel Class of 2021: Bittersweetness fills the hallways and my mind as I am excited about your new pathways and ponder about how I might have shaped your pathway with more than 1 year as your high school principal. It’s okay to say goodbye and feel sad, but I would urge you to never have regrets. I would like to leave you with but a few instructions. First, remember the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. Do what is right be- cause it's the right thing to do, but also because you are an Armorel graduate and THAT IS what we do!! Second, the greatest thing you can do with your life, while on this planet, is Make it Interesting…. Third, don’t let your current options for success cloud your vision for your future options for success; they are incredibly different. Next, you can’t possibly understand where you will be tomorrow; don’t try, enjoy the ride today. Lastly, from the words of John Wooden, spend your time making a difference and not making a living. I will be call- ing on you to come back and share your experiences with future class- es of AHS; be willing to accept the challenge. I will never ask for more than your “Dead Level Best”. Do and be the best “you” that you can be. Sincerely, Principal Tony Crowell

LISA HUYNH My favorite memory in high school was being able to spend every day of my junior year at lunch with my friends. We were always laughing and cracking jokes at each other. I wanted lunch to last so much longer, and I never had a bad time. My favorite club would be journalism, I have been in it since the 7th grade and I loved being in the class with the upperclass men, it was fun. The teachers that most impacted me were Brittini Johnson, Brittany Hazelwood, and Jonathan Carmack. They would always make my day better and I knew that they always had my back if I really needed them. They were always the ones I would mess with the most, and of course Mrs. Booker!! She is so funny and if I didn’t wanna be in class, I’d be in her office talking her head off. I really don’t know what I am going to do after high school. I am trying to plan on getting my business finance degree. I haven’t decided a college yet. “Live your best life, not everyone is your friend, and if someone ruins your day, ruin theirs! Not everything is too serious. Live in the good moments you have, because there’s a lot of bad ones that come with it.” My favorite memory from high school LOGAN MARTINEZ was when I fell while jumping on ice going to class. My favorite sport was basketball because you have a team that is there when you need them and you also need to work as a team to win. The teacher which impacted me the most was Kelly Hopper I plan to finish my college courses here then move back to my hometown and go to college for blueprint reading in Texas. “Have the most fun in highschool while u can because time flies by fast.”
JACLYN MILES My favorite memory from high school is having the freedom to make our own schedule and getting to leave early everyday. My favorite activity was cheer! I had always wanted to be a cheerleader so it was hard not making it in 7th and 8th grade. I told my friends that I was gonna try out one last time for 9th grade and if I didn't make it I was done! Fortunately I made the team and spent the next 4 years cheering my heart out at basketball games. My favorite part was getting to watch the team grow and improve over the years. The teacher which impacted me the most was Mrs. Speight! Since I had her 3 times a day, it was hard not to become besties haha! She was always there for me to spill all the drama to and always gave the best advice even though I didn't always listen..oops I plan to attend the University of Central Arkansas and pursue a degree in Psychology and a minor in family and consumer sciences! After college I hope to have a successful career in child psychology and to be married and starting a family. “High School is really not all that bad as long as you stay on top of your work and stay out of trouble. Always try and focus on your relationships that matter, not everyone can be your friend so don't waste time trying to please everyone!” My favorite memory was going on school trips KAITLYN WIDENER and competing in competitions across the state. My favorite club was Journalism. I got to par- ticipate in many activities because of the club. One of my most memorable experiences was helping set up the dinner for ASPA convention one year when we were the vice president school. My favorite teacher is Carmack. He helped me express myself in Comp. I really enjoyed his guidance and he is easily one of the best teach- ers I have ever had. I plan to attend college and major in writing. Hopefully, I will learn useful skills that will help me succeed in a career that utilizes those skills. I'm aiming to be a journalist or work in copy-writing. “Try not to overdo it. There are times that not turning in an assignment or taking a day to do things for yourself is better than doing assigned work. Your mental health should not be sacrificed for good grades.”
FRANKLIN WHITAKER My favorite memory from high school has to be P.E. classroom activities. One of my favorite activites making music in Mr. Carmack’s room. The faculty member that had the most impact on me is Mr. Car- mack. His wisdom is instilled in me forever.. After high school, I plan on attending college and writing home often. “Learn outside of school.” My favorite memory from high school ALEX HOLIFIED is riding attedning homecoming. After high school, I plan to go to college to “Join clubs in which you have interest in and try to make friends with other students because before you know it, high school’s over! Don't be afraid to talk to people and develop friendships!” My favorite memory from high school would have to be CALEB WALTERS 7th grade homecoming; this is because the homecoming experience from middle school to high school is a real adrenaline rush and gives you an honest high school experience at AHS, especially your first homecoming, that memory is one you will never forget. My favorite club to join would have to be EAST. EAST was a class that allowed for me to explore what I was truly interested in and explore that even further. Every- one in EAST is very welcoming as a new EAST student. EAST is a class, in my opinion, one you should definitely give a go. The faculty member that had the biggest impact on me would have to be Mrs. Gribble; this is because I've had a class with her all throughout high school, and taking her classes really helped me explore my interests. She is also very relatable as a person and a faculty member. After high school, I plan to start getting my life together with driving and getting a job; I feel like further education at the moment isn't for me. “balance your education and discovering who you really are. What I mean by this is don't procrastinate on your work, it is important, but don't forget to live a little. Life is short, make it worth it. ”
EMILY HOVIS My favorite memory from high school is the lunch table my junior year. There was never a quiet moment and we were always having fun. One of my favorite clubs was journalism. I enjoyed journalism because it was a way to utilize my writing skills in a creative way and to have them published in our school newspaper. I feel Mr. Branson had the biggest impact on me because he inspired me to use my math skills to be a teacher. He was able to make students who hated math actuallyunderstand it, and I hope to teach like that someday. After high school I plan to go to college at A-State and major in high school education. Then, I plan to teach at Armorel. My end goal is to be a college professor, though. “Don’t let yourself be bothered and just enjoy it while you can. You’re only in high school for 4 years so enjoy those short years with a positive attitude because once you're gone, you won’t even know half these people anymore, so make the most of it.” My favorite memory was spending DREW CULP time and laughing with friends. My favorite activity was basketball because I grew up playing the sport and it meant a lot to me. VICTORIA LEON I am originally from La Salud, Cuba, and moved to the United States on June 7, 2012 to Florida. The first few years of moving to the U.S were as painful as walking on rocks without shoes, especially with having to learn a new language, but with help from my family and friends I managed to get this far and I’m hoping to reach as far as possible to become someone well known. My favorite sport would be track. I liked going to different track meets at different places and meeting new people. I personally think that Mr. Carmack made an impact on me, even though he has only been my teacher for 2 years it feels like I have known him forever. He never makes class boring and dreadful instead I actually look forward to seeing him everyday. I plan to go to the University of Memphis and major in accounting. “Don’t procrastinate!”
MAYSON CARR My favorite memory was having our bus break down on the way to State softball, and spending three hours in Target making unforgettable memories. After high school my plan is to go to ANC for my basics and transfer to a college on the coast and study zoology. “A piece of advice that I would give to an incoming Armorel student is that you should always try your hardest, and just have fun. You will not get the years back so make the most of it.”
KATE HALE My favorite memory from high school was every day at my lunch table with my best friends. We always had the absolute best time. Cheer was definitely my favorite. I was able to get co-captain my junior year and captain my senior year. I had the closest bonds with every team each year. Cheer definitely made my time at Armorel so much better. Mr. Carmack is definitely the best teacher that I have ever had. He not only makes me feel like I am a great student, but he does that with each student that he has. I feel like I have learned the most with Mr. Carmack. I plan to attend the University of Central Arkansas and get a degree. “Always stay true to yourself and never let anyone stand in the way of your success.” I would say my favorite memory of high HUNTER HOLLAND school would be my 9th grade year home- coming. I had such a great time and made many memories. Basketball by far was my favorite sport. I've been playing basketball since I was six years old and I have always loved the game. Now that it's all over it makes me sad but I know I have many things in store for me in the future. The teacher that had to most impact on me would have to be Mr. Carmack. I have always loved his class and he made my least favorite subject fun. I am so happy I had the opportunity to be in his class. I plan on attending ANC after high school for Steel Technologies “Enjoy it while you still can. It flies by and you’ll regret not making the most of it.”
CAMERON TURNER My favorite memory was when we went to the district track meet in 9th grade. Track was my favorite sport because we were always traveling and going somewhere. Mrs. Gribble and Ms. Reynolds had the biggest impact on me during high school. Ms. Reynolds always made her classes interesting and fun. Mrs. Gribble has pushed me to do better each year. Every time I started to slack off, she reminded me how important it was to put in the work. Thank you both for your support! I keep going back and forth about going to college or joining the military. Since I am undecided on the path I want to take, I plan on working full time for a semester or two, while exploring my options. “Do not procrastinate. It is so much easier when you are not rushing.” My favorite memory from high school ALEXANDRA REGENOLD were my teachers because all of them were really nice to me and helped when I needed help. After high school, I plan to go to the Uni- versity of Arkansas. “You should always turn in your work on time and make an effort in all of your classes.”

Farewell Class of 2021! By Victoria Leon I didn’t get to where I am today By letting myself get pushed around, and get stuck on the ground! The best people are the ones who rise from the dirt. They will rise to the skies and watch as the others burn! I made a name for myself and I rose above the clouds. I ended a couple of lives to be called a king! But who cares if a few things are dying? I will live forever as the one who got to the skies! If my legacy dies. Who cares? I will always be on top! For I am what motivates people to go high. I am Pride!
