1 Main ideas questions What is the topic /subject/ main idea of the passage? What is the author’s main point in the passage? The passage is mostly/ mainly about Which of the following is the best title?
1 Main ideas questions The answer to this type of Question can generally be determined by looking at the first few sentence of each paragraph.
1 Main ideas questions Use the titles and headings. Use topic sentences. Use conclude sentences. Look for repeated ideas

Pass your eyes quickly over the rest of the passage to check that you really have found the topic sentence.
