About Society of Engineers - UAE Society of Engineers – UAE is a semi-government non-profit organization established in 1979 under the Ministerial Decree No. 33-1979 by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The Society was organized to provide excellent services to the engineering sector in the UAE by accrediting their qualifications to practice in the United Arab Emirates. Society of Engineers strives to provide great services to its members. The main objective of the Society is to contribute to the renaissance of industrial, urban and agricultural areas in cooperation with the competent authorities in the country as well as working to strengthen relations and create closer cooperation between scientific and technical engineers in the UAE and their colleagues in the Arab region and foreign countries. Society of Engineers provides services to the engineering sector in the UAE, through its qualification and accreditation committee in the membership unit, delivering accredited training and development center, opening gates for conferences, events and seminars through its events center, resolution disputes through its arbitration center and delivering professional examinations through its British Council and ETS test center. The organization is accredited and affiliated with different entities such as Gulf Engineering Union, Federation of Arab Engineering Organization. At the moment, the Society of Engineers – UAE provides services to its more than 60,000 members from around 170 nationalities all over UAE. The Arbitration Committee resolves disputes through a legal settlement technique for resolving disputes outside courts through a third mediator. The organization is responsible for all the engineering arbitration. By offering consultation to solving disputes, Society of Engineers – UAE, increases the competence of the role of arbitration in the UAE. 1

The Society also gives employment opportunities through the Employment Centre and solves claims and disputes through the Arbitration Centre.
