We handed out all the adages and their meanings pasted on colourful cardboards which have been enriching and giving a magic to our language for centuries. The only rule of meaning - adage matching was not to talk. By using ony gestures and mimics,the students who were trying to find their friend with the meaning of the adage discovered that they could find out what they were lookng for in silence. The ones who could match adage and the meaning later worked in pairs and improvised their adage with their partners without speaking. The other groups tried to guess which adage it was.
