V SIGN UP FOR HOUSING Claiming your spot on campus is a two-part process. Once you are admitted to USU, you will use your Student ID (A#) and password to log in on the housing website and complete both processes. SIGN-UP PROCESS Visit usu.edu/housing and click the “Sign Up Now” button. Read through the instructions and then click start. Once you log in select your sign-up period, fill out the requested information, sign your housing contract, pay $250 ($50 non-refundable application fee and $200 security/reservation deposit), and select the building that you want to live in from the list of available options. Once you complete the sign up process, you have a guaranteed space on campus in the building you selected. ROOM SELECTION PROCESS If you complete the sign up process by April 6, 2020, you will participate in our online priority room selection process taking place April 13-19, 2020. You will choose your room, bed space, roommates and meal plan (if required) within the building that you selected as part of the sign up process. An email will be sent on April 6 with your access date and time to select your room based on the date that you complete the sign up process for housing. THINGS TO REMEMBER SIGN UP EARLY. Housing buildings are filled on a first come, first serve basis. The sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to secure a spot in your preferred residence hall. ROOM WITH A FRIEND. If you have a friend/friends you’d like to room with, sign up at the same time and choose the same building. The date and time you are able to access priority room selection is based on the date you complete the housing sign up process. SAVE THE DATE. You may cancel your contract prior to May 1st to receive a full refund of your $200 security deposit. After May 1st, the housing contract specifies conditions for cancelling 35 your contract.
