CEO LETTER JAVIER PRADODear friends:Tvitec Group closed FY 2017 with a turnover of 107 million Euros,increasing our Ebitda in the proportion pursued by the company’sbusiness plan. These results not only satisfy us, but also reinforceour business model as productive and effective, both in terms ofgenerating added value and in what it represents as a market niche,and makes our balance every year more solid.Exports of architectural glass products from Tvitec grew, both innumerical terms, and in terms of the expansion of geographicalareas. More than 70% of our turnover is generated abroad,confirming and exceeding our initial market.In addition, we are seeing how the level of demand for our high-performance products increases in all these markets. A goodexample is our current orders portfolio, already signed with veryrelevant volumes, which gives us peace of mind and an optimisticview of the sector’s behavior.The year we left behind required, however, an additional effort, aswe continue with the investment plan that will allow us to increasemanufacturing capacity in the coming years and, consequently, theresponse time to improve and shorten the deadlines in materialdeliveries.Looking ahead, we do not give up when it comes to investing,evolving and developing new solutions demanded by the market.We analyze and research competitive glazing solutions with morefeatures, exceeding even the main quality standards. Tvitec has become, from its main production plant in Cubillos del Sil (León-Spain), a partner and supplier of exclusive reference for any construction company, specialist in facades, architects or engineers who bet on the high quality and eco-efficiency in the construction materials of the future. The economic forecasts for 2018 remain optimistic. Employment in the factories of Spain, Portugal and Brazil placed the overall volume of the workforce above 500 employees. Its new project of curved glass will turn Tvitec into an integral transformer of architectural glass on a world scale. ANNUAL REPORT 2017 | CORPORATE PRESENTATION 2018 LATEST PROJECTS ONE VANDERBILT NEW YORK´S FOURTH TALLEST SKYSCRAPER IN NEW YORK OneVanderbilt is a skyscraper under construction in New York City, on the corner of 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue in downtown Manhattan. It was proposed by the city’s mayor, Bill diBlasio, and the developer, SL Green Realty, as part of a planned rezoning of Midtown East. The tower will be located next to Grand Central Terminal. When completed in 2020, the roof of the 57-story, 1,600,000-square-foot (150,000 m2) skyscraper will be 1,301 feet (397 m) tall and its spire will be 1,401 feet (427 m), making it the fourth highest building in town, at least until the completion of Central Park Tower and 111 West 57th Street. Place Vendôme is a project of United Developers, a group of four Qatari investors who partnered to align their expertise in retail, real estate, construction and contracting. The project broke ground on March 17, 2014 and is slated for opening in 2019. 1,000,000 m² development will host two five-star luxury hotels, serviced apartments, a mall featuring up to 600 different retail outlets with an exclusively luxurious wing dedicated to top designer labels, and a central entertainment component showcasing constant attractions. Tvitec will provide the architectural glass for the 12 great canopies of the complex. 49
