ALEVELS OCTOBER 2022 ISSUE The 2022/2023 academic session for the AS/A Level program has successfully completed the first half of term 1 and can happily congratulate the students and teachers for a job well done. The seven weeks of academic activities have exposed the students to the rigor of the A-Level program and helped students understand and improve their academic abilities. Currently, over 80% of the students achieved A* - C in at least three subjects in the mid-term test for the first half of term 1. We congratulate Imam Rabiah Rania for achieving the best student with 3 A*s in all her subjects in the second year (A2) of the A-level program and Deshmukh Nimisha for achieving the best student with 3 A’s in all her subjects in the first year (AS) of the A- Level program. We also thank our supportive parents for their level of assistance towards the students.
OSSD OCTOBER 2022 ISSUE OSSD STUDENTS MEET UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVES FROM HARVARD, OXFORD, CAMBRIDGE ETC., COUNT GAINS FROM GLOBAL STUDENTS SUCCESS FORUM (GSSF) Our OSSD students have been recounting their gains from a two-day Global Students Success Forum (GSSF). The event which was hosted by our partners, Rosedale Academy, between 19 and 20 October 2022, featured university representatives from the top 100 universities in the world, including Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT among others. Following the forum, the students expressed their delight and the gains they made at the end of the two-day event.
UFP OCTOBER 2022 ISSUE Finally, the first half of the term has come to an end. It’s been six weeks of students taking charge of their learning and intense academic rigour. Like George Bernard Shaw observed, “progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything”. The UFP students have indeed progressed beginning with a change of their minds. They have realized the significance of time management, dedication, hard work etc. and that consistency is key to attaining greater heights. The mid-term result which is a cumulative result of week 3, 4 and the mid-term test reveals that all students have made progress according to their individual abilities no matter how small in both character and in learning. The high achievers have been duly rewarded for their hard work during the Achievers Assembly and others have been encouraged to go the extra mile. Some students however, could not meet our expectations of a Merit grade and upon resumption from the mid-term break will be placed on Academic probation to further monitor and support their learning. To all the UFP students, you are truly amazing. To those who met their academic targets, a big well done and to those who did not, be encouraged and know that the 2nd half term is another opportunity to achieve your goals. Do ensure you utilize your mid-term break wisely, get a good rest, be rejuvenated and return hitting the ground running.

October 2022 Keeping Your Property Safe While it is unlikely that you'll experience theft or damage to your property while at our college, students can make opportunistic targets for thieves when around town or when travelling and it's important to understand how you can prevent this. Below, you can find some helpful tips on how to keep your things safe while you study. For smartphones, tablets and computers, consider installing apps that will track them if they are stolen. Carry your laptop around only when you have to. If you take your laptop somewhere to study, do not leave it unattended. Be sensible when using your mobile in public- don’t have it on show unnecessarily. Keep a record of your phone’s IMEI number, which is a unique code usually found behind your phone battery or in the \"about section\" of your phone. Equipment should be switched off at the mains when not in use or left unattended.
