Black and White Black and white photography puts the viewer’s full focus on the dynamic energy and emotion captured within the scene. Colored Colour photography puts the focus on the story playing out in the scene. With the use of softer, less intense colours, it’s the composition, the interaction between the models and the environment as well as props the capture the viewer’s attention. To ensure consistency across all business locations, the following standards must be adhered to: Banking Hall ceiling must be the standard suspended ceiling with the following speci cations: Colour must be Plain White (no pattern or design), material must be Vinyl Rock (POP suspended ceiling boards) and dimensioned 600mm X 600mm placed in WHITE ceiling grids. Flooring must be tiled with the following speci cation: Colour must be Light Grey and Tiles dimensioned 600mm X 600mm. Teller counter must be straight (No shapes or curves allowed) and the counter top to be nished in White Corian Marble. Height will be 1.2m and depth speci cation will be advised by Corporate Services Writing slab for customers must be at 1.2m height and 450mm depth, well installed in another section within the branch, but slightly distant from the teller point to avoid bottle neck within the banking halls. Colour of walls must be painted with Silk White Colour of window frames and pillars must be painted with cool grey pantone 9C Branches must be painted on a bi annual basis with a high-quality paint type that is accessible bankwide and recommended by Corporate Services and MCC/Brand Management for colour consistency. Corporate Services must work closely with MCC/Brand Management to ensure consistency across all business locations. Banking locations in high tra c areas would require a quaterly touch-up. In-Branch Setup Digital Screens The UBA Digital Screen is placed within Banking Halls and o ces. This is a platform for comprehensive information outreach about UBA products and services. These features would come in Flash Messages, Scrolling Text, Pop ups at di erent intervals. The platform is controlled by the Marketing Department. It is paramount that the screen be placed in the most visible location within the branch. It must be in the line of sight of people on the queue and at the CIS desk. CI Manual / Nigeria / 062

Signages are one of the most visible elements of our brand. They not only create awareness for passers-by, but also extend a warm welcome to our visitors. Signages not only communicates our brand personality e ectively, but also communicates any relevant information we may wish to express. Our range of signs and their correct utilization are listed below to ensure brand consisten- cy. All signs or con gurations of our signs must carry our identity according to the guidelines. The structural branch review and procurement of furnitures and ttings or existing and proposed business locations are handled by the Corporate Services of UBA plc, whilst the colour scheme and general look and feel of all business locations is approved by the Marketing department. It is on this premise that both Groups be contacted to review the 3D drawings for all business locations that are either new or require a structural review. All branches must be painted bi-annually. 3D External Signage 1701.8 mm 787.4 mm 863.6 mm 584.2 mm Fabrication thickness: 101.6 mm 3D signage must be at the top right corner of the branch. CI Manual / Nigeria / 074 3D signages can be placed on multiple sides of the building, if the building has more than 3 oors. This is however subject to the bank’s position on the street. Pylon must be placed at the far right side of the building for better visibility

Pylon United Bank for Africa United Bank for Africa United Bank for Africa Africa’s Global Bank RC 2457 Signs can be created vertically or horizontally, allowing the ideal sign to be created for its position and purpose. All materials used should be considered for their durability, ease of maintenance and manufacturing qualities. Up-lighting is recommended to ensure visibility at night. It is essential that digital print samples be screened for quality and colour matched against the prototypes. The main pylon is the “hero” of our signage range, and should be positioned in prominent locations usually on the left side of the building. The placement of the new 3D wall facial must be installed to the number of oors within the building. The signage must be installed on the right side of the building except in rare cases where not feasible. Installation of multiple signs may be required when the building is located at the corner of a street or road. This also is subject to the position of the buildings around the building. Where there is a cash centre/ branch in a rented or multi-tenanted building, countries are advised to capture all modalities relating to the installation of our standard signages in the agreement document between the bank and property owners. Visual illustrations of the location with the signages can be forwarded to the Brand Management team for review and approval., if such arrangements have not been done within the country. Subsequent branches can be done without their consent. Exterior signs should be applied in a clean, yet visible manner. That impression is not only shaped by the correct and consistent application of our identity, but also by the sign itself. The highest quality material and professional installation is crucial.

Pylon The existing pylon head is ex material covered with UBA red speci cation vinyl. (same as the wall signage) *The existing pylon is 5m high with a concrete base of one foot. The body of the pylon is a steel framed work wrapped around the alucobond material. As decribed above, for the retro t, the head of the pylon will be replaced with metallic UBA RED paint and the ex replaced with 4mm opal (white plastic) covered with the UBA Red vinyl.
