Most MUSEUM SUCCESS grants are donations of goods and services equal to matching funds from the local community donated specifically for a MUSEUM SUCCESS grant. Applying for a grant is simple: 1. Call us and describe your vision. We will email you a one-page request form. 2. MDI Creative will evaluate your request and, if accepted, develop an Action Plan. 3. If the Action Plan is acceptable to you, we will implement it. MDI Creative is a For-Profit corporation. Typically, we will not be able to participate in all requests we receive. Our acceptance of a project is very arbitrary, based upon your need and our ability to provide the products or services either free or at a greatly reduced cost. Match the width and depth dimensions of the plexiglass top with the width and depth dimensions of the base. All dimensions are approximate. Plexiglass tops are available in economy or PS-30 adhesive joints. PS-30 joints are crystal clear high performance joints. Economy joints are reasonably good joints, but are not as durable and may include small bubble inclusions. Economy joints do not have the strength of PS-30 joints. MDI Creative can provide fiberglass reproductions of large objects such as military tanks and we can locate most originals to mold from, if the client does not have the object to be reproduced. We are experienced in casting bronze cannon tubes, building carriages, and related objects. Our craftsmen also produce small object reproductions such as ceramics, hand tools, military weapons, etc. Cold cast bronze, copper, steal, and other metal finishes allows us to finish a wide range of materials that will reduce weight and cost (the Liberty Bell below is cold cast bronze). TRAVELING EXHIBITS Community Traveling Exhibits are designed and built for fund raising and to provide formal or informal educational programs. MDI Creative works closely with the client to develop subject matter and budgets for the project. We provide guidance in securing the funding and also provide renderings of the proposed exhibits to aid in the solicitation of funds. Educational exhibits will typically travel in the local community and are set up in schools, public buildings, and partner facilities. Exhibits can support state-wide curriculum standards and may include artifacts or reproduction artifacts as appropriate. Programs can be ongoing with participating partners providing funding over many years. Renderings and assistance in setting up traveling exhibit programs are provided at nominal cost, paid by grants, or in some instances at no cost. MDI Creative’s objective is to establish educational exhibits and funding opportunities for partner museums. Exhibits can be any size appropriate to the subject and the needs of the community. MDI Creative will typically provide marketing assistance, partner recruitment, and other services to help secure the initial funding. We design and build the exhibit and will provide logistic services if required. The cost for the production of the exhibits are paid from fund raising, with 30% retained by the museum to cover administrative costs or for use as the museum decides.
