Lemindog, LPT in teaching you will learn.” Last semester, we were advised to document how we integrate the cognitive domain of the DLP Grade 1/1 Adviser/English Teacher learning process in Dual Language Program Grade 1/1 in teaching English with Thematic Approach and how does the communication 2.Phonics and Sight Words (10 mins) skills developed through the learning they had? - After our listening and speaking drills, we always have our phonics time and reading Dual Language Program Primary has a Daily Routine during sight words. Students are able to read, spell out words, and understanding its meaning. Then learning grammar follows, that is being taught through learning the sentence pattern and how it should be used then letting the students construct their own sentences as a part of heircommunication drills with the use of correct grammar principle. In this routine, students are able to apply the learning they got from remembering and understanding level. 5. Games and Activities (1 hr and 30 mins) - We include here the Thematic Integration of learning English integrated with different subjects in each Theme and do the activities such as Music and Dance Performances, DIY Artworks, Science experiments, Social and Occupation activities that are in line with the indicators in the curriculum. In the application of the activities we planned for a theme, we viewed that students are able to analyze, by thinking their own ideas or brainstorming, evaluate, by checking or judging their own works, and they are able to create, by presenting a visible output from the planning they got individually or by group 6.Writing Activities (10 mins) - We encourage good writing skill in our students. Student’s writing notebook with green-red-green pattern was provided to guide them in their writing skills. Through writing, they are able to familiarize each word with correct spelling and an effective partner of reading skill as well. We also have our Students’ Book and Workbook as teaching tools for reading and writing. The morethe students are exposed in writing activities, the more they will develop their comprehension with great writing abilities. Throughout the learning process, as a teacher I have learned a lot of things as well. When we do things routinely, the students will be used to it and be more responsible. Teachers have a very significant, lifelong impact on all of their students. This impact involves not only the teaching of particular academic skills, but as importantly, the fostering of student self-esteem. Reinforcing self-esteem in the classroom is associated with increased motivation and learning. Positive attitude increases your confidence in your abilities, and brings hope and expectation of a brighter future. It enhances your motivation when carrying out tasks and working on goals, and you are also able to inspire and motivate others. Collaboration within a group can help solve diffi cult problems. Brainstorming is a good opportunity for the team to exchange ideas and come up with creative ways of doing things. We should always be flexible to respond to different learner abilities, needs and interests.
