3 Nelsen Scale Prevention System suggested Retailuggested Retail Description P Part numberart number Description s Nelsen Scale Prevention Systems FILTERSORB-SP ANTI-SCALING SYSTEMS Nelsen Scale Prevention Systems features Filtersorb SP filter media to first remove the already existing scale from pipes and heat exchanger surfaces (descaling effect) and further to protect the system from future formation of scale (scale protection effect). Filtersorb SP is based on a completely new technology. In this process the chemical structure of scale forming minerals is changed. This technology is so effective that it requires a contact time of only seconds. Filtration Equipment The media is used in an up flow system, therefore only an in-out head is needed. The media transforms the dissolved calcium carbonate (temporary hardness) into non-charged, neutral chemical bonds. These bonds are completely stable and cannot attach to any surfaces. The chemical bonds are rinsed away by the water flow. The size of the bonds is so small (in the range of nano-meters) that they can only be seen with a microscope. Therefore the effect is the same as if the water was free of temporary hardness (calcium carbonate). The chemical structures are heat resistant and do not fall apart. The media is used to clean pipes from already existing scale and to protect pipes and hardware from scale. Tests with commercial coffee machines showed that those with 68 FilterSorb-SP Hardness Stabilizer protection were much cleaner after a short time of use than the control systems which were cleaned monthly. Filtersorb SP works great in front of RO membranes. It keeps these membranes from clogging with calcium-carbonate. A preexisting membrane’s efficiency is improved after only 10 days if calcium carbonate was the reason for the blocking. COMPlETE SySTEMS - EVERyTHING IS INClUDED Included in 8\", 9\" and 10\" systems - Filtersorb SP Filter Media, Enpress Mineral tank featuring the Vortech bottom distribution plate, “C-Series” in/out head, “C-Series” Bypass, 1\" NPT PVC -plumbing adapters, 1\" x 10\" “Big Blue” housing with GaC pre-filter with mounting bracket. 12\" and 13\" systems include a 20\" Big Blue Housing and GAC Pre-Filter in lieu of 10\" housing and filter. $ NSPS-0844-RES 8\" Saltless anti-Scale Filtration System 1,135.00 NSPS-0948-RES 9\" Saltless anti-Scale Filtration System 1,414.00 $ NSPS-1054-RES 10\" Saltless anti-Scale Filtration System 1,545.00 $ NSPS-1252-RES 12\" Saltless anti-Scale Filtration System 2,098.00 $ NSPS-1354-RES 13\" Saltless anti-Scale Filtration System 2,357.00 $ * Non-Stock Items. Nelsen AIO™ Air Injection Oxidizing Filter System 3 suggested Retailuggested Retail Description P Part numberart number Description s Nelsen AIO Air Injection Oxidizing Filter Systems TM AIR INJECTION OXIDIZING FILTER SYSTEM The Nelsen aIO™ air Injection Oxidizing Filter System, as a single tank system, is an efficient and cost effective system for the removal of iron and sulphur. The Nelsen aIO™ maintains an “air pocket” in the top of the tank while the system is in service. As the water passes thru the air pocket, iron and sulphur are oxidized. additionally, dissolved oxygen is added to the water. The Nelsen aIO™ filter media bed then removes the iron and sulphur from the water. Filtration Equipment The Nelsen aIO™ can remove up to 8 ppm Hydrogen Sulfide and up to 7 ppm Iron. a daily backwash will remove accumulated iron and replenish the filter media bed. 3 FreshPoint™ Ultrafiltration System, Up-Flow/Down-Flow Filters Description suggested Retailuggested Retail P Description s Part numberart number FreshPoint™ Ultrafiltration System The PENTEk® FreshPoint™ Ultrafiltration System provides complete point-of-entry (POE) filtration proven to reduce turbidity, particulates and cysts for safer, cleaner water at every tap. The system employs hollow-fiber Ultrafiltration membrane technology to filter impurities as small as 0.025 microns. To maximize membrane capacity and service life, a metered flushing cycle is controlled using an advanced controller and high-performance turbine meter. The self-cleaning forward and back- flush cycles are initiated when the programmed capacity of the membrane is reached. During the backwash, flow is reversed and particles are ejected from the pores of the membrane and flushed to drain. In the forward- flush cycle, service water passes through the capillaries at a high speed, scouring particles from the membrane surface and rinsing them from the system. Since power is only required to flush the system, outages and interruptions will not jeopardize the integrity of membrane Filtration Equipment or its ability to provide safer, cleaner water. The advanced electronic controller provides a programmable day override which allows the unit to flush every day with fresh water when the system is not in use. Critical system diagnostics, including totalized flow, instantaneous flow rate, and previous day’s water usage, are available to optimize flushing cycles and monitor performance. The high-performance industrial fiberglass housing is pressure rated to 300 psi. Inside the housing, the membrane is sealed with double radial o-rings, minimizing the potential for leak paths. Quick-connect end caps allow the membrane to be easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The system can be applied to solve “known” water problems including high turbidity, suspended solids, and certain microbiological contaminants. It can also serve as a flushable pre-filter to extend the life of media filters downstream. • Designed for cyst reduction, turbidity, and fine sediment filtration applications • > 98% reduction of 0.025 micron (25 nanometer) particles* • > 99.99% (> 4 log) reduction of 0.065 micron (65 nanometer) particles* 72 • Forward-flush and back-flush cleaning cycles provide extended filter life in a wide range of applications • Proprietary hollow-fiber ultrafiltration membrane • Professional-grade housing, controller and flush valve • Metered self-cleaning cycle flushes only when needed • Day override feature flushes module daily with fresh water when system is not in use • Peak flow rates up to 10 gpm (2271 l/h) *Performance based on MS-2 (25 nm) and PRD-1 (65 nm) virus particle tests.
