1 - They can live up to 12 months How was the species introduced into the, Ontario ecosystem:These European species were first introduced in the 19th century. These species wide spreaded in 1981. They accidentally came to Massachusetts, then North America, then eventually lead them to Ontario.
What actions are being taken to stop the spread of these species?The City of Hamilton will be conducting an aerial spray program to control Gypsy Moth with bio-pesticides. They will be spraying this year in May.
