”Different Accessibility options” Name: Charvi Agrawal Class; 10th - Hardware and software technologies that help visually or physically impaired people to use the computer. For example, the Accessibility Options control panel in Windows provides keyboard, mouse and screen options for people who have difficulty typing or seeing the screen. How to access different accessibility options: 1. Open settings 2. Go on Accessibility option Charvi Agrawal 10TH

3. Select Keyboard 4. Select which option you want (Sticky, toggle, filter keys) Sticky Keys - Sticky keys enables users to enter combinations of keys by pressing them in sequence rather than pressing them simultaneously. - Press the shift keys 5 times to on or off sticky keys Charvi Agrawal 10TH

- Sticky Keys is an accessibility option in Windows that allows for someone to use the CTRL, ALT or SHIFT keys one key at a time without having to hold the keys down. - This will benefit users who are unable to press or have difficulty pressing shortcut key combinations. Charvi Agrawal 10TH

Filter Keys - Filter Keys is an Accessibility option that you can use to control the keyboard repeat rate and ignore repeated keys. - It is an accessibility function that tells the keyboard to ignore brief or repeated keystrokes, making typing easier for people with hand tremors. - To activate Filter Keys – Press and hold the Right Shift key for 8 seconds. A tone sounds and the Filter Keys dialog appears. By default, the cursor is on the Yes button. Press the space bar to turn on Filter Keys Charvi Agrawal 10TH

Toggle keys - It is an accessibility function which is designed for people who have vision impairment or cognitive disabilities. When ToggleKeys is turned on, the computer will provide sound cues when the locking keys (Caps Lock, Num Lock , or Scroll Lock ) are pressed. Charvi Agrawal 10TH

- Caps Lock is the most commonly used toggle key, and capitalizes all letter input when turned on. - A toggle key toggles the input from other keys on the keyboard between two different input modes. Sound Sentry - Sound Sentry is a way for Windows to provide a visual alert when an audio alert is played. For example, when Sound Sentry is enabled, and an error sound plays, the screen will flash. - Type some repeated characters in the notepad. Serial Keys - Serial keys is a string of characters or equivalent access code that must be input into a program in order to activate it. - Serial Keys is an accessibility feature that assists people that have difficulty using a keyboard or a Mouse (or both).
