The former is impossible without corporate life, the latter without honours and post-graduate. - Dr. Radhakrishnan

From The Editor… “A work of art is one mystery, the one extreme magic; everything else is either arithmetic or biology.” -Truman Capote According to E. O. Wilson, all knowledge from the humanities through the social sciences to the natural sciences-can be unified. Paying tribute to this great author, Consilience was launched in July 2016 with the goal of fetching science to life by not only reporting on exciting new innovations but also by probing deeply and proactively into the liaison amid science and everyday life. We continue to endeavor to improve, most recently with several new features. We have added columnists to our firm of writers who get beyond the news events to demystify myths and explore how science, medicine, ethos, antiquity and media, all influence and narrate to everyday life. Beyond our elementary sections there is a wealth of news covering many topics. Consilience is about science but it is for you. We have introduced “the students’ corner” in this issue. As always we invite your participation. SPUBS56 is becoming livelier each month, with perceptive and often highly optioned remarks helping to amplify the true sense and impact of everything we love. We have got more additions and improvements planned for next issue, so please let us know how you think we are doing. Vishakha Pawar, Editorial Director Consilience, WallMag SPUBS56

Krishna’s gloom was hidden. When we glance at Krishna’s Vishaad Yog, we may sense the ache of Krishna. When Krishna left Vrindavan Bhagavatam writes Every relation is ephemeral-short lived, like wind bring close clouds, dust, grass flakes & then with one blow makes them all apart, god do this with human. In another instance of his father Vasudev’s death Krishna felt immense pain & he blamed destiny. Even it’s difficult for god to digest the grief of uprooted & withering relations. This event of celebration aims to raise the public awareness about the need for safe blood donation voluntarily & unpaid by the healthy person to ensure sufficient blood supplies. It's a simple 4 step process: ●Registration ●Medical history ●Mini physical check up ●Donation & Refreshment Eligible blood donor should fulfil below mentioned requisites: ·Age: 17years to 65 years ·Minimum weight 45kg ·Not suffering from any transmittable diseases ·Haemoglobin should not be less than 12.5gm/dl ·Donor should not have donated blood in last 12 weeks Benefits to donor: ·Reduces chances of heart attack and cancer ·Enhance production of new RBC ·Mini-blood test: Where Haematocrit (i.e. Haemoglobin level test, BP is measured, body weight is checked) 15 | P a g e
