CORPORATESTRUCTUREIn an attempt to take advance of the benefits of economies of scale while maintaining autonomy withineach practice group, Valley is structured in a unique way. Each group is individually set up to receive allthe revenue and expenses associated with running that practice. Management agreements are createdwithin each group to maintain their structure for compensating physicians (salaries, dividends, buyins/buy outs, etc.). Within Valley, each group is then managed as a profit center. This retains the valuewithin each group for the work and services they provide. Valley also has a variety of shared services thathelp reduce costs. These services are provided a-la-carte to allow each group to decide how heavy orlight they want their overhead expenses to be. Valley also attempts to keep its administrative overheadlow by charging a fixed fee to each group on a per partner provider basis versus a percentage of revenuefee which can easily result in increased costs without added benefit. Providers and o ce sta barely have enough time to manage patient flow and - Dr. Je orey Thorpe, M.D., CMO care. Having a management structure that can lead your practice into the new world of healthcare is essential. In addition to managing market situations, Valley maintains relationships to ensure we are part of the process for changes in the future. Most recently, Valley successfully negotiated contracts with hospitals to provide services that are not only necessary for community health but beneficial to the success of providers and groups within Valley.

TECHNOFOLOCGUYSThe healthcare world has seen an explosion of technology over the past few years especially with theintroduction of electronic medical record and programs like Meaningful Use designed to accelerate EMRadoption. Valley provides the much-needed resources to ensure that existing and new technologies arebeing evaluated and adopted in order to benefit a variety of areas of a practice. These areas include patientcommunication and education, cost reduction and data driven analysis for process and systemimprovements, intero ce communication, telemedicine, and EMR use and management. Valley believestechnology will provide a vital role in managing costs and competing with larger organizations that havelarger resources particularly as the concern over reduced reimbursements continues to grow. With the uncertainty of markets, revenues declining and expenses increases it’s imperative that private practices enhance their patient experience utilizing technologies. - Adam Rasmussen, CEOEPAXTPIEERNITENCE At Valley, we believe it is the ability to provide the best patient experience that will allow practices and providers to not only survive but thrive in an ever-changing market. For this reason, Valley strives to find great providers to participate with us in achieving and sustaining this mission. Our continued focus for improvement with our patient experience has been an advantage for us and we continue to work to improve in every aspect of this goal.
