CLASSROOM THE SET UP HANDLING ZONE ABRASIVE PROCESSES ZONE COBOTIC ASSEMBLY MACHINING ZONE ZONE ZONE 2 Welcome to the robotic hub of the National Engineering School of Metz ! This leaflet will introduce you to different robots in the hub to learn about their main features and their objectives from both professional and educational perspectives.
MEET THE ROBOTS ABB YUMI WITH TWO ARMS A collaborative robot with two dynamic arms equipped with cameras and suction cups. This robot is used to study the basics of robotics like cycle times for a given application or pick & place operation. ABB IRB 1400 A 6-axes industrial robot in the handling zone dedicated to the feasibility study of handling and manipulating different mechanical parts given by companies. ABB IRB 1200 3 Two robots offered by the ThyssenKrupp Presta company in which one uses a double contact clamp while the other, a screwdriver. This zone emphasizes the evaluation of assembly and disassembly times and its feasibility.
MEET THE ROBOTS 4 ABB IRB 2400 A robot driven in trajectory and effort using its effort sensor. This zone is used to observe, test and improve grinding, polishing and deburring operations executed by robots. KUKA KR500 MT A 6-axes industrial robot equipped with an effort sensor, an electrospindle and its toolbox. This zone is dedicated to the optimization, development and research on robotic machining.
