Go KL is a public bus service that oers free rides for commuters within the Central Business District (CBD) of Kuala Lumpur. It was launched on 31st August 2012 as part of Malaysia’s Government Transformation Programme (GTP 2.0) in improving urban public transport system. Go KL is intended to provide a reliable, aordable, accessible, safe and comfortable “rst and last mile” city bus service for private vehicle users, public transport users and tourists in CBD. It is also aimed to reduce congestion in Kuala Lumpur by encouraging users to park their cars and use Go KL city bus service to travel around. Initially servicing for two routes only - Green Line (KLCC – Bukit Bintang) and Purple Line (Pasar Seni – Bukit Bintang), Go KL has now expanded to include two additional routes – Red Line (KL Sentral – Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman) and Blue Line (Medan Mara - Bukit Bintang). With these expansions, users now have more than 60 stops to choose from. The stops encompass popular spots within the heart of Kuala Lumpur such as shopping havens, tourist attractions and even prominent oce towers. Some of the popular spots for both city dwellers and tourists are Pavillion, Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Pasar Seni. For users’ convenience, Go KL city bus service is well-equipped with free WiFi and designed to be disabled & eco-friendly. To cater to those working in Kuala Lumpur, Go-KL city bus service starts at as early as 6.00 am and ends at 11.00 pm except Friday and Saturday, where the service will end at 1.00 am. Additionally, Go-KL city bus service operates 7 days a week, making it a highly accessible public transport service for all.
