THE JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL Described as the ‘greatest literary show on Earth’, the Jaipur Literature Festival is a sumptuous feast of ideas. Every year, the Festival brings together a diverse mix of the world’s greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, sports people and entertainers on one stage to champion the freedom to express and engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue. A LOOK BACK Jaipur Literature Festival has hosted over 5,000 speakers in the last 15 years. The Festival hosted its first ever 10 days long virtual edition in the year 2021, reaching out to over 173 million people. The festival went hybrid and moved its venue to Clarks Amer Hotel for its landmark 15th edition, reaching out to over 200 million people with a viewership of 22 million. The festival hosted its 1st ever international extension of JLF in 2014 as part of Alchemy, the Southbank Centre’s festival of South Asian culture, in London. JLF entered the US market by organizing an edition of the festival in Boulder, Colorado in the year 2015. Jaipur Literature Festival launched its B2B wing Jaipur BookMark in the year 2014, bringing together stakeholders of the book trade from across the world.

BOOKS The Bookstore is the heart of the Jaipur Literature Festival. Some head over to grab books by their favourite writers in the hope of getting them signed while others are just looking to discover new writers and new worlds. Managed by Full Circle Books, the JCB Prize for Literature Festival Bookstore stocked the latest and best-known works of the Festival’s authors as well as others. The atmosphere was busy and vibrant - a testament to the fact that demand for the physical book is still thriving. I can’t stop talking about how ‘out of this world’ the festival is...what a great audience. Lots of them young readers!! MUSIC The Jaipur Music Stage is more than just a place for literature-enthusiasts to unwind after an exhilarating day of talks: it is a musical confluence opening audiences up to new sounds. A night market with a range of merchandise including instruments, music technology, music from indie music labels and other paraphernalia, will add sizzle to this unique medley of the popular and the subtle.

HERITAGE A MAJESTIC EVENING AT EVENING AMBER FORT PRESENTED BY RAJASTHAN TOURISM AND JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL In partnership with Rajasthan Tourism, the Jaipur Literature Festival brings together arts and culture with built heritage at the magnificent Amber Fort. The evening celebrates Jaipur’s rich, historic and architectural legacy through a culturally diverse showcase of poetry, dance and music at the iconic monument.
