Racehorse SharesCommunication: In speaking with many owners or participants in otherpartnerships, it became clear that a lack of communication with the managingmembers or trainers is a frustrating problem in the business. Pocket Aces Racingis committed to frequent and open communication with our partners. In essence,what we know, you'll know.FinancesShares in the Pocket Aces Racing partnerships varybased on a variety of factors including the cost ofthe thoroughbred, time of year purchased, wherethe thoroughbred is racing, who is training thethoroughbred, and the number of months ofmaintenance expenses which are being collected upfront.Typical partnerships are comprised of 10 shares andeach share typically sells for $2,500 - $15,000. Weoften make partial shares (halves and quarters)available as well. Maintenance expenses are billedquarterly. Expenses are approximately $1,000 per

quarter per share (9.9% ownership). Three to six months of maintenance fees arenormally included in the initial buy-in.Marc WamplerMarc Wampler has been involved in the thoroughbred racing and breedingindustries since 1993. At various points in his career he has worked as a hot-walker, groom, sales show person, veterinary assistant, bloodstock agent andRacing Manager. All of which, have provided invaluable experience for hispresent positions as the Racing Manager for Pocket Aces Racing, LLC along withhis duties as the General Manager for Somewhere Stables Kentucky, LLC.Jared ShoemakerJared Shoemaker is a lifelong fan of the thoroughbred horse racing industry. Heholds a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Kentucky.After a brief stint in the private sector, Jared spent 9 years as the AssistantDirector of Athletics and Director of Sports Information at Shawnee StateUniversity in Portsmouth, OH. He currently works in the pharmaceutical industry.He is primarily responsible for member relations, communications, and financialmanagement.Steve MargolisSteve Margolis took over primary training duties for Pocket Aces Racing in 2012.Primarily based at Churchill Downs through the spring and summer and atFairgrounds in the fall and winter. Steve has won nearly 500 races and more than$17,000,000 in purses. He finished 2012 ranked 77th in North America inearnings. He ranked 49th in earnings in 2011. He has conditioned numerousstakes winners including Breeder's Cup Sprint (GI) winner Cajun Beat.Susan AndersonSusan Anderson will take on some training duties for Pocket Aces Racing in2013. Susan is based throughout the year at Turfway Park. She began training in

1987. She spent 10 years in Dubai from 1990 - 2000. Copperplate Breaks Maiden We have just a few shares still available in our yearling filly by Temple City out of a 100% producing Cape Town mare. She represents a tremendous value with share opportunities starting at just $700. Copperplate broke his maiden in his third career start on Friday afternoon at Ellis Park. The race was a maiden special going 5.5 furlongs on the turf. Despite and awkward start, Copperplate broke on top. Other than a few brief strides onthe back stretch, he led wire to wire and finished in a time of 1:03.65. He heldoff Henry Eight and Normandy Crossing to notch the win.
