JULY / AUGUST / SEPTEMBER 2022 CORBAN ESTATE ARTS CENTRE

JULY / AUGUST / SEPTEMBER CEAC.ORG.NZ In May we recognised the anniversary of the late Brian Corban’s passing, last year on 2nd May 2021. Grandson of Assid Abraham Corban, who established the Corbans winery in the early 1900’s, Brian was the chair of the governing Trust Board for Corban Estate Arts Centre and a staunch advocate for making arts experiences available to all. The passion and enthusiasm that Brian extended to our arts communities, and his connection to the rich history of the Estate is a legacy that together we endeavour to maintain. Front/Back Cover: Anton Parsons, Jamb (2017). Corban Estate Arts Centre resident artist Anton Parsons' practice embraces a broad range of media encompassing industrial materials, readymade objects, photography and installation. Represented by Suite Gallery in Auckland and Wellington, and Jonathan Smart Gallery in Christchurch, his works are often in the form of large-scale, public sculpture.
