Annual Continuing Competence Review Continuing competence is the lifelong process ACR of maintaining and documenting competence through ongoing self-assessment, development, and implementation of a personal learning plan, and subsequent reassessment. Continuing competency requirements are designed to promote ongoing safe, ethical and competent practice to ensure that professionals are prepared to protect public interest and to pursue and achieve professional growth throughout their careers. Continuing competence contributes to the quality of practice. PTs share the responsibility to promote continuing competence. To support and ensure ongoing professional development and continuing competence, PTs complete the following activities annually: 1. Self-Assessment 2. Client Feedback 3. Professional Development (Learning) Plan Annual Continuing Competence Review Self-Assessment Have you engaged in a process of self-assessment of your practice in the past year? Please indicate what tools or methods you use to complete your self-assessment. Feedback Please, include feedback about your work received from one or several of your clients.
