Inside this issue: Dear All, Branch wise HSE 1 Thanks for your pleasurable support to HSE Dept. to celebrate 40th National Promotional Safety Day (NSD) throughout the country. Celebrating National Safety Day is Competition status for a very effective tool to enhance HSE culture throughout the organization and Feb 2011 to motivate staffs towards safety. We are delighted to announce that the 1st NSD celebration in Inspectorate India has also motivated HSE dept. to Branch wise “System 2 organize such type of promotional activities in future. BE SAFE A Monthly HSE Newsletter - INDIA Vol. 3 March 2011 Issued by HSE Dept. 1) One of our Executive Operation was coming to office on his own Two Wheeler on 17th Feb 2011, faced a road accident when another Two Wheeler hit him from the backside. He lost his balance and fallen down on the road and faced superficial injuries on his right hand, leg and right side of the chest. He has taken the first aid from nearest hospital. 2) One of our Manager was driving Company's vehicle when returning from Field to Office, faced a road accident on 21st Feb 2011 at around 22:00 Hrs. He was on his lane and all of sudden a trailer while overtaking came to his lane from opposite direction. There was not much space on left side to move out the vehicle and as a result the vehicle got a head on collision with the trailer. 3) One of our Tr. Chemist faced an injury on 23th February 2011 during replace- ment of an old fume chamber, when liquid stored in the duct line of fume chamber flashed on the head and entire body of the victim involved in shift- ing operation. The victim was shifted to nearest hospital after showered him initially with a plenty of fresh water; after getting first aid from the hospital, he has resumed duty on that day only. 1) When two Inspectorate personnel were coming to office from the port by riding company’s two wheeler, at around 1450 hrs on 16th Feb 2011, their two wheeler skidded due to poor road condition. The back-rider jumped out from the two wheeler and fallen down on road. Pelvic region of the victim hit by a concrete bar lying nearby. 7 of 7
