“I am responsible for planning a lesson and teaching students at all levels. I also administer tests to check students’ progress, whether it’s in English, Math, Science, etc. What am I?

“I work in a construction industry, designing new buildings and the spaces in and around them. I also help restore and conserve old buildings. What am I?

I am a licensed health professional who maintains and restores human health through the practice of medicine. I examine patients, review their medical history, diagnose illnesses and administer treatment. What am I?

I advise and represent clients in courts and in private legal matters. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems. I also interpret laws and rulings for individuals and businesses. What am I?

I provide pre and post operation care to patients. I also monitor and administer medication, taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures. What am I?

Conversation 1 A: What is your occupation? B: I’m a doctor. Actually, I’m a pediatrician. A: Oh. That’s great. Do you run a clinic or something? B: Yes, I run a nursing home in the city. A: Great. So you must be very busy. B: Yes, we doctors hardly get any time for ourselves. A: But you guys save lives. Isn’t it a noble thing? B: Yeah, that’s what keeps us motivated.

Conversation 2 A: What is your occupation? B: I’m a mechanic. A: Oh. That must be a lot of work. B: It’s. I fix cars. A: That’s interesting. How many cars do you fix in a day? B: Well, that depends. During some days I fix as many as 10 cars, but yesterday I fixed only six. A: Do you like your job? B: Of course, I do. I like cars and have always been into mechanics.

Conversation 3 A: What do you do for a living? B: I’m a News reporter. A: Really? I’ve great respect for you guys. Do you work for a newspaper or a television channel? B: I work for a newspaper. A: Great. When I was in college, I was keen on becoming a News reporter, but my parents didn’t support me. They felt that News reporter was a risky field to be in.

Conversation 4 Bean: Hello Mr. Jones, what do you do for a living? Jones: I am a teacher in a high school. Bean: A teacher? that sounds like a lot of hard work. Jones: Sometimes. I teach high school children. Bean: Is there a lot of students in your class? Jones: Most classes have about fifty students on average. Bean: Do like your job? Jones: Yes, It is so rewarding. Teaching at high school is easier than primary. The students are less naughty.
