Nota bene: as one of my main goals is leadership through the integration and synergy between Research + Engagement + Teaching, some topics might be included in more than one section of my academic dossier, appearing repetitive.
A/Prof. Carlos Montaña PhD “My main goal is to develop multidisciplinary Design and In- novation collaborative projects with global impact. I believe design should be meaningful. A focus on social and environ- mental issues while considering economic feasibility is cru- cial for current and future practice. Academically, my lead- ership facilitates synergy between research, teaching and engagement with the community. I establish local, national, and international collaborations with governments, indus- try, and academia to develop design-centric applied research projects, while simultaneously producing and sharing knowl- edge through traditional research outcomes. Finally, I hope to constantly learn and enjoy the process, because design is also about having fun and sharing joy while experimenting within a creative journey.” 3
