The Company’s substantial shareholder, Guangzhou Yue Xiu Holdings Limitedis a state-owned enterprise under the supervision of the State-owned Assets supervision andAdministration Commission (“SASAC”) of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government.With a series of mergers and acquisitions of quality projects since 2009, the Company strategic layoutof “Establishing a foothold in the Pearl River Delta region, expanding into central and western regionsof China” has begun to take shape step by step. In terms of its asset portfolio, relatively matureprojects in Guangdong such as the GNSR Expressway and Humen Bridge are the main source of theGroup’s stable profits. New projects acquired in recent years such as the Weixu Expressway, Han-XiaoExpressway, Changzhu Expressway and Suiyuenan Expressway give new impetus to the Group.As at 30 June 2016, the Company invested in and operated a total of 13 toll-road and bridge projects,including 11 expressways and 2 bridges.
