It is one of the Telangana Flagship programmes to rejuvenate degraded forests, protecting these plants. It adopted intensive soil and moisture conservation measures based on a watershed approach. 2
Objectives ◉ It was launched in 2015 by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. It also plans to rejuvenate degraded forests and set up green cover over wastelands. ◉ The slogans 'Don't let our future dry up' and 'Protect our earth today, for our children's tomorrow' aptly sums up the aim of this movement. 3

Waste management Waste management includes the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. This includes the collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste, together with monitoring and regulation of the waste management process and waste-related laws technologies, economic mechanisms. 7
SAY NO TO PLASTIC ” 8
Rethink – is the product really needed. Refuse – say no to single use plastic and items that are not recyclable or reusable. Reduce – limit the number of 'single- use' items that you buy. Repurpose – try upcycling your plastic . 9
Trashion to fashion ◉ Trashion is a blend of “trash” and “fashion”. ◉ It is used to imply objects and garments made out of unwanted, recycled materials with a new purpose in life. It awakens our environmental awareness, and challenges our creativity. 10

Management of Non Biodegradable wastes As Non biodegradable wastes like plastic bags, glass bottles etc., cannot be broken down by decomposers, their disposal poses a big problem. Non-biodegradable wastes can be managed by practicing the concept of 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle 13
