Gunna
This book is dedicated to Chloe Published by MyeStory @ TMK E Publishing 2021
Hi, my name is Gunna. I was born on the 16th of July, 2019 and came to Kewarra Beach to live with Chloe and her family when I was approximately 8 weeks old.
I quickly settled into my new home, I felt safe and warm and loved. I knew I was going to have a good life with my new family. I was an undoubtably cute puppy…I mean just look at me! I have silky smooth fur coat and I wear a white tie all the time!
And I could fall asleep anywhere, anytime, in just about any position. Not much has changed there… I still can! And look how big I’ve grown! I am 2 years old now. I have big paws now, but my nose is still cute and I am very cuddly. People say I sleep a lot… Of course, I need my beauty sleep!
When I am asleep, I dream about our trips to the beach. I dream about the feel of sand between my paws… …and the sound of the ocean waves.
Sometimes I dream about the car ride to the beach. I love it when the windows are down and the breeze blows through the car keeping me cool.
I used to fit in Chloe’s lap when I was little, now we need to fold the seats down so I’m more comfortable. As I told you in the beginning of my story, my name is Gunna. It’s an old Scandinavian name that means “battle”, “war”. While I’m a friendly dog I like to make people think I’m grumpy… that way no one will mess with me…
I like to have that warrior reputation, you know… cause I’m not a little puppy anymore, I’m big and tough, I’m a neo mastiff cross bull mastiff for crying out loud!!! Chloe says I’m always in a bad mood…but that’s not true! Look at my winning smile! I have a grin so big, it’s as big as my heart! But the truth is I’m a big softy and I love Cuddles! Anyway… as I was saying…
I love the beach! I love to bask in the sun… I watch the seagulls lift fish out of the sea…I watch the kids build sandcastles… I watch over them from a distance and keep the beach safe… I’m always on duty… When it gets hot. I go for nice long swims in the water.
I try to catch the fish but they’re too fast in the water. I have so much fun at the beach! Chloe is calling me out of the water, it’s time to go home… But I don’t want to go home yet… Can I have few more minutes, please?
Ok… I’m coming…. I say goodbye to the beach and shake myself off. I feel refreshed from the lovely swim. I think I’m ready for my afternoon nap…sweet dreams… I can’t wait to dream some more of the beach!
