Village of Lakemoor’s “Day at the Rink”When: January 16, 2016Where: Heritage ParkTime: 10am to 3pmCome on out and enjoy a day of Ice Skating at our rink atHeritage Park.We will be providing Hot Chocolate and Hot Cider. Youneed to provide your own skates.

Lakemoor’s Annual Ice Fishing DerbyTired of sitting around this winter in your warm and cozy house?Come join us for the Annual Lakemoor Ice Fishing Derby. The date forthe event is Saturday February 6, 2016. (depending on ice conditions).There is a $5.00 entry fee for Adult’s over 16, 15 and under are free.Prior registration is required and registration forms are available at thevillage hall and on the Park and Recreation website within the Villageof Lakemoor webpage.All awards will be given based on two age groups (15 and under) and(16 and above). There will be a 1st and 2nd place trophy in both agegroups. Awards will be based on the largest fish and on the heaviestfish no matter what species within each age group.You need to supply your own gear and bait. All fish must be caught onLily Lake the day of the event and brought to the judging table at theboat launch no later than 1/2 hour prior to the close of the event andmust be within the Illinois Fish and Game regulations.The time of the event is from 8:00am to 2:00pm. You must have a validIllinois fishing license if you are required to have one. Licenses apply toresidents and non residents between 16 and 64 years of age.To register online please visitwww.lakemoorparks.net.

EASTER EGG HUNT When: March 19, 2016 Time: 10:00 am Where: Heritage Park Open to kids ages 1 to 10 Bring your camera and take a photo with the Easter Bunny Bring your basket for you to collect the goodies. WHEN: April 23, 2016 TIME: 8:00pmWHERE: Heritage ParkBring your chairs, blankets, and snacks for an enjoyablemovie in the park.The Movie will be: Finding NemoCome and join us for the 1st Movie in the Park for 2016.Mark your calendar and come join us.The concession stand will be open for you to purchasesnacks and refreshments.

Spring Fishing DerbyCome join us for the 3rd Annual Lakemoor Spring Fishing Derby.This event will be held on Saturday, April 16th at Lily Lake. Prior registration isrequired and registration forms will be available at the village hall and on the Parkand Recreation website within the Village of Lakemoor webpage.Deadline for registration is April15th at 4:30pm.The timeof the event will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm.There is anentry fee of $5.00 for people over 16, 15 and under arefree. and all awards will be given based on two age groups (under15) and (16 and above). You need to supply your own gear and bait. Awards willbe based on the largest fish (Bass), largest fish (Pan Fish) and on the heaviestfish (Bass), and heaviest fish (Pan Fish).You must have a valid Illinois fishing license if you are required to have one.Licenses apply to residents and non-residents between 16 and 64 years of age.The awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place for each category in both agegroups.You may only win 1 prize per category and age group.Fish may be caught on shore or in a boat.Entrants must bring their catch to the boat launch area no later than 2:45 to bemeasured and weighed.Brought to you by the Lakemoor Parks and Recreation Committee.You can sign up online by going to www.lakemoorparks.net

Soccer InformationThe ages for the Soccer session is 4 - 8. As long as the participant is at least 4 and has notturned 9 by the time the season begins they may sign up.The session begins on May 7th and runs for 8 weeks.The fee for the session is $80.00 but if you sign-up more than 1 child from the same householdin the same sport you will receive a $10.00 sibling discount.Game days are on Saturday mornings between 9 and 11 depending on how many teams wehave. More information will follow.Registration ends March 25th, 2016. A $10.00 late fee will be applied after March 25The session will include a uniform, trophy, and a pizza party at the end of the session.Photos will be taken at sometime during the session.Coaches and Volunteers are neededAdult coaches and volunteers are always needed for the program to be a success. If you areinterested in being a coach please go to www.lakemoorparks.net to complete the backgroundcheck form. You can either fax or mail the completed form back to us. Our fax number is 815-385-8206. Also if you volunteer to be a coach the fee for your child will only be $50.00. Therewill be a limit of 2 coaches per team. Also we will be having a Coaches / Participant clinic priorto the beginning of the season to cover rules and expectations of the session.You must pay your fee at time of registration.All application forms must be filled out whether paying online, in person, or by mail.You can submit your forms online or can pick-up the forms at the Village Hall.Checks should be made payable to the Village of Lakemoor 28874 Rte. 120 Unit C & DLakemoor, IL 60051

T-Ball InformationThe ages for the T-Ball session is 4 - 8. As long as the participant is at least 4 and has notturned 9 by the time the season begins they may sign up.The session begins on May 3rd and runs for 8 weeks.The fee for the session is $90.00 but if you sign-up more than 1 child from the same householdin the same sport you will receive a $10.00 sibling discount.Game days are on Tuesday evenings between 6 and 8 depending on how many teams wehave. More information will follow. Also Fridays have been dedicated to T-Ball for any rain outsor practices that the coach might want to have.Registration ends March 25th, 2016. Come and join the River East Library for a funtime at our “Read a Story” day at the Heritage ParkPavilion. This event is specifically for kids ages 5and under.When: 1st Wednesday of each month starting inMay and ending in October. There will be StoryTime on July 6th.Where: Heritage Park PavilionTime: 10:00amThis event is free of charge and compliments of theLakemoor Park’s and Recreation Committee andthe River East Library.

THE STARS ABOVEWhen: Tuesday, May 17thTime: 8:00pm - 10:00pmWhere: Heritage Park (on Darrell Rd. just north of Rte. 120)Come explore the stars and planets for a fun filled night for the entirefamily.There is no charge for this event so please come out and join us.Bring your telescopes, binoculars, and lawn chairs if you would like.Hosted by The Lake County Astronomy Club. Volunteers from the clubwill be bringing telescopes for you to look through.Compliments of Lakemoor Parks and Recreation

Lakemoor Co-Ed Softball LeagueLakemoor is putting together an Adult Softball League again this summer.The ages for this will be 18 years of age and above. We will need to have atleast 4 teams to be able to have a league. Each team must be made up of aminimum of 9 players and must include at least 4 woman. The league willbegin on June 17 and run for 5 weeks, ending in at tournament at the end ofthe season. Game will be played on Friday nights starting at 7:00pm. It will de-pend on the amount of teams as to the actual start times of the games. Costper player is $40.00 and that cost will cover the softballs and the umpire. Prizeswill be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams.The concession stand will be open for each game so you may purchase refresh-ments if you would like. The softball is a 16” ball but it is not as hard as a tradi-tional 16” softball.Please visit our site at www.lakemoorparks.net to apply. 4th of July Parade ApplicationThe Village of Lakemoor will be celebrating Independence Day by having its annual parade onJuly 4th. Your presence with an entry in the parade will greatly enhance its success! All \"float\"entries will be automatically entered into our annual Float Contest. There will also be a Misterand Miss Lakemoor contest as well. The parade will start promptly at 9 a.m. and ending at theMorrison Park pavilion. Staging will begin at 8:30 a.m. Please fill out this form and return bymail, e-mail, fax, or submit electronically below before June 29th at 4:30pm. Come and join us while you are at LakemoorFest on Sunday August 14 at 4pm for theTreasure Hunt.The hunt is for kids ages 3-6 and 7-10. Thereare plastic coins buried in 2 sand piles. Eachcoin is worth 1 dollar and also in each pile isa “special” coin worth 10 dollars.Stop on by, it’s a lot of fun.

Lakemoor Craft Show and Flea Market Craft Show DATE: SUNDAY 08/14/16 TIME: 09:00AM TO 5:00PM Some of the items for sale are Hand Beaded Jewelry, Soaps, Glass, Scrapbooks, Children’s Items and much more. Halloween “Trunk or Treat” Heritage ParkCome join us on October 22nd at 5:30pm for a fun time at the “Trunk orTreat”.The “Trunk or Treat” will be held from 5:30pm to 7:00. To sign up to participate in theevent please go to www.lakemoorparks.net.Trophies will be awarded to the Best Decorated Car and Best Adult and Child Costume. The concession stand will be open for you to purchase refreshments and the Parks Committee will be passing out Taffy Apples. The River East Library will be doing some activities and crafts between 5-6:30pm so please stop by and join them
