TEXT TURKISH BREAKFAST Turkish breakfast is one of the most popular breakfasts in the world. Turkish people give importance to what they eat. They have a rich cuisine. Breakfast is an important meal in their lives. And Turkish breakfast is famous for its richness all over the world. On weekdays, family members go to work or school so they have a quick breakfast. But at the 4 weekends it is like a ceremony. They sometimes meet in parents’ house and have a big breakfast. They give importance to being together around the table.

And the weekend breakfast is a really good chance of coming together. They have a long lasting breakfast. There are different kinds of food at Turkish breakfast table. They eat olives, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, butter, honey, and different kinds of jams. They eat fried potatoes, sausages and mushrooms, too. They make different meals with eggs, such as omelet, ‘Menemen’ etc. They don’t only eat bread, they eat bagels and pastries. They don’t prefer muffins, pancakes or croissants. Turkish people prefer 5 tea for breakfast. They especially prefer small glasses for tea, not cups. Sometimes there is fresh orange juice at the breakfast table. They always drink Turkish coffee after breakfast. It sounds delicious. Everyone should taste Turkish breakfast. Unit 1
