Live Streaming Solution Proposal Why Do Live Streaming Videos at all? Though we’d like to encourage more residents to take an active role with the POA, the truth of the matter is, if they all would come to the meetings, we would not have room for them. So perhaps obvious we can accommodate more people in this way. The videos serve a useful purpose for archiving the proceedings and could be used later to answer questions or respond to litigation. Why do we need to change anything? Our videos reflect directly on us. A poor-quality video and/or audio casts us in a bad light, when we should want to appear capable, competent and professional. The current MEVO camera on it’s best day simply does not yield a quality video, and the audio quality is legendary for its poor quality. What will it cost us to upgrade to a solution at or near the quality we’ve seen with Clint Hackleman recording our meetings? Cost of quality equipment is not cheap. If we buy equipment like Clint uses, a 2 camera solution would cost approximately $10,000, a 1 camera solution around $5,000. Additionally, any solution requires someone available and knowledgeable to set up and operate equipment. Clint has offered to continue as our Videographer, to operate any solution we choose at modest cost, and he has included an equipment rental option so we can decide later if we want to purchase our own. I should note here, that Clint is more than a nice guy with a camera. He has extensive experience including time working professionally in Hollywood. Following then is our recommendation and proposal 1. Purchase a minimum amount of equipment including microphones and various supplies that will be needed for every meeting and items that cannot be rented. Estimated one time cost: $1,200 2. Use Clint Hackleman to provide videographer service and rented camera equipment. Cost of #2 above: Per Annual 2022 Mtg. $1,848 April -Dec Equipment rental of a single camera solution: $77 $3,840 $1,386 Production fee $160 $5,688 $2,880 Total cost $237 $4,266 A last note: Clint has offered to waive the equipment rental fees for April, so that savings is reflected above.
