WE ARE VIRTUALLY OPEN 24/7 BRINGING OUR LIBRARY TO YOUR OWN DESKTOP / LAPTOP OFF CAMPUS ACCESS TO LIBRARY DATABASES & REMOTE SERVICES During this critical situation, the Corona Virus pandemic has mandated all Government and Private Sector Institutions to be restrictive and the Staff members to work from home as well. I hope that, as Researchers, Faculty members, Administrators, Students and information seekers of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka, you all must be engaged in your research and other online teaching/routine activities. At this juncture, I am very much pleased to inform you all that you could now access all our library databases such as Emerald Insight, Wiley Online Library, Oxford Journals, Oxford Medicine Online, SAGE Research Methods, ProQuest EBook Central, SCOPUS and ScienceDirect from the comfort of your own office space or home front and continue with your research and teaching / routine activities without any interruption. Yes, you were able to access some of these databases with IP authentication only from within the University premises and some were provided especially during this pandemic. But now, you can access all these databases remotely from anywhere at any time using the university credentials which you obtained from CICT (Centre for Information and Communication Technology), Eastern University, Sri Lanka for Zoom/Wi-Fi account OR using a username and password provided by the Library. You do not need any username / password to the open access resources given in the booklet. If you have not created your own ZOOM/Wi-Fi account, please click on the link given here (https://bit.ly/3bfUxyf) and furnish the required columns and submit. The same Username and Password which will be provided by CICT, EUSL via email could be utilized for the Remote Access to Library Resources.
