Chamathsara Ferando Director - Corporate Partnerships Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa Being one of the largest communities in Sri Lanka, with more than ten thousand members, as a movement, Rotaract always tries to create an impact and give rise to sustainable initiatives for the betterment of the country. Out of the 87 clubs that do service in District 3220, the Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa holds a special place in the Rotaract community. Being the President of this club, it is my utmost pleasure to share my thoughts, acknowledging the collaborators' efforts throughout the Rotaract year 2021-22. Being a four-time international winner and the most outstanding club for seven years in a row, we create an impact over 22 districts, covering 80 plus projects while covering all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. All these projects were designed to redefine the spirit of the lives of all human beings worldwide. All these projects cover more than 10 million rupees, resulting from the efforts of all the collaborators and donors. It is with great pleasure that I emphasize that the partnerships and collaboration of corporate leaders and supporters from every corner of the world have been a massive strength in creating the change we as a club have always wanted to do. TIED-UP Resource Partner The Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA), the apex body responsible for the prevention, control, and management of pollution in Sri Lanka’s marine environment extended their fullest support in the chapter of Zooxanthellae 2021- 22 where, upon granting the approval to execute the project, they have assisted in conducting underwater surveys and other parameter tests in order to select the ideal location for coral growth. Being a key party that was involved in the site visits throughout the project, MEPA was a driving force in all the fundamental stages such as deposition, transplantation, and post-monitoring sessions that were done along with the team of Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa.
