TIED-UP Resource Partner The Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA), the apex body responsible for the prevention, control, and management of pollution in Sri Lanka’s marine environment extended their fullest support in the chapter of Zooxanthellae 2021- 22 where, upon granting the approval to execute the project, they have assisted in conducting underwater surveys and other parameter tests in order to select the ideal location for coral growth. Being a key party that was involved in the site visits throughout the project, MEPA was a driving force in all the fundamental stages such as deposition, transplantation, and post-monitoring sessions that were done along with the team of Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa.
