You can place your truck on charge at break time or when finishing using your truck depending on truck type.•Remove key to stop untrained colleagues from using the truck.•The LAST thing you do before moving off is an all round check!

54Section 6 – Operators Safety RulesOperators Safety Rules – Summary•Some of the older LLOP’s & PPT’s have lead acid batteries and therefore need to be topped up with distilled water, this is done by the maintenance department after charging, Please note that trucks with lead acid batteries should only be placed on charge when the battery is down to 2 bars or 20%.
