DAAL BAATI CHOORMA AIESEC JAIPUR SOORMA The loudest roll call of AIESEC India's national plenary is just not enjoyed by the people of LC but has given a special place in the national plenary as well. The meaning of the word SOORMA is someone 'brave' who would endure anything for principles and would even give away one's life for the ideal one is following. Daal baati choorma as we all know stands for the traditional food of Rajasthan and Jaipur being the capital, it depicts therepresentation of Jaipur as a city with the feeling of royalty in it. While we cheer the roll call at the highest of our pitches it represents the great history and legacy of leaders that AIESEC Jaipur has built with time since its existence. The pride in the voices, the energy in the roll call, and followed up by the motivation check are all about us, us as a family, us as the royals of the national plenary. The roll call and the motivational checks are the representation of the peopleof AIESEC in Jaipur and the great legacy of which we are proud and it is evident in the high voices we say. Recruitment OC Gaurangi Jhala OCP Tell us about some crazy things that took place during your recruiting journey with your OCVPs. There were a lot of crazy moments but a few that stand out the most would be our first physical meet. So, half of the OC wasn't in the city and hence we had our first physical meet with the entire team just a day prior to the LTS. We sort of crashed someone else's party, danced a lot and to say that it was super amazing would be an understatement. Another crazy thing would be that we had decided to conduct GDs at the office so we got OC to clean the entire office which hadn't been cleaned in I don't know how many years but due to covid we couldn't conduct a single GD at the office. What was the major drive behind you going for OCP? My experience as an OCVP in OC Genesis was marvelous to the point that it made me want to apply for the role of OCP just so that I could work in the OC again. The idea of working for recruitments thrilled me and voilà I gave it a try. Another reason for applying for this post was Sanya, she has always been a sweetheart and we had worked together in Genesis so there was no way I'd skip this chance to work with her again. Were there any challenges faced by you during your journey, and how did you overcame them? One of the major challenges that we faced was covid. As soon as recruitments began the covid cases started increasing and it not only affected the recruitment process but the OCVPs as well. There was a time when almost all of us were \"not well\" but the other OCVPs were always ready to step up for each other and get the work done. Moreover, we had Sanya as our EBC, she was always there for the team even when I couldn't be. Enfin, despite all the problems, OC Arz handled everything pretty well and in the end we did reach the target and organised an ultra pro max amazing event. After delivering an amazing LTS, how was your overall experience? I don't think I need to speak a lot about how my experience has been because all those who attended the LTS know it well. The 2 month experience of leading the OC gave me a bunch of adorable crackheads also known as the '8 wrong choices', whom I cherish a lot. I never really thought that I would get sooo attached to them but in the end I did literally cry so yea, that basically says everything. Overall, it was one hell of an adorable experience that I would always cherish and love with all my heart. I had my fair share of fun and enjoyed a lot throughout the journey. En bref, applying for this opportunity was worth it. AIESEC in Jaipur The Realm | 16

AIESEC IN JAIPUR LC DAY OUT: THE TREAT OF SUMMARY AIESEC Friday, 18 March 2022 Isn’t it good to get our inner child out and let it run free every now and then? Running out and tapping each other’s shoulders, making the best of a summer evening, and giving in to our 13-year-old selves? Well, that is what Aiesecers did one sunny evening in May. All the members gathered at central park in their sporty spirits, showing off their best sneakers and playing fun games like DodgeBall. The day out was accompanied by a laughing therapist who gave all the members a chance to laugh heartily and thoughtfully and exercise their guts out with ‘louder louder’ laughs. AIESEC in Jaipur The day came to an end with mouth-melting ice creams from a Cream Bell vendor outside the park, with some members trying their best to dig into other’s ice cream flavors. Not exactly expecting it, more like hoping for it. Q2. Since you enjoy your company very much, was it much of a task to have conversations with everyone everyday? A2. Initially yes, but everyone I worked with respected that which made it really easy to be around them and talk to them on a daily basis. Q3. Throughout the period of Lcong, what was the one thing that kept you going? A3. The teams, both, the CC and the OC Q4. What did take from this experience of LCong and what was one cherished memory of your CC term? A4. Apart from all the wonderful people I came across, one thing I got from this LCong experience was major main character feels. The 2 CC night outs. AIESEC in Jaipur The Realm | 32

LCong OC Yash Vijayvargia How often did you get into your \"emo phase\" during your OC term? Despite there being too many times when I was overwhelmed, both negatively and positively, there was this one time when the whole OC was together at one place during the conference thinking about how much we put into it, and we all hugged and cried quite literally and I still feel extremely emotional while thinking about it. It was all like a rush of emotions, both happy and sad. Thinking back from where we started to where we were then, it all came back to us and the memories we had made together just hit making us feel nothing but glad for what we had and for the opportunity given to us. What is one of your craziest memories of the term? OC is known to not have a major role in the Lcong, so this myth is what we aimed to change. We wanted to do our best and to our surprise, we scored higher than we expected. This term evidently has been a success and there was such exceptional synergy between the OC and the CC. During the closing, we were met by applause and there were continuous appraisals by random people saying we did good. We loved how our hard work and dedication was acknowledged. What was your most favourite session during the Lcong? My favourite session has to be 'Connecting Dots' by Navita for MB. It was one the best bonding sessions where we all were laying on a bed, chatting, giggling, laughing. We shared all about our journeys in AISEC and more. I will always keep that memory close to my heart because that was when I got the closest to the MB and got to know them better. If it wasn’t for that session I wouldn’t have cherished my Co-MB members as much as I do now. What were the challenges you faced during your OC journey? When the OC started, I was worried a great deal because everyone had different personalities and possible opinion differences. Consequently, it would've affected rapport building and bonding as well as led to some clashes of sorts. Thankfully nothing like that happened. All the OCVPs were kind and friendly so there wasn’t much that I had to do for the bonding part of the job. It was just Lakshay whom I thought would find it difficult to adjust with the rest of us but he is such an amazing person and with all that he had he tried to blend in and everybody else welcomed him with open arms too. LCONG LOCAL CONFERENCE 2022.1 Lcong this year was the most memorable memory for all Aiesecers as everyone got to show their best of sides and make best of friends among each other. Members were seen enjoying each other's company whilst playing amazing games, jiving, and learning about the AIESEC. First day was all packed up with introduction to the workings and functionalities, and then everyone chilling by the pool. On the second and third day, members got an opportunity to use this learning practically and bringing in leads! The end of the second and third day was followed by prom dance and a cocktail night. All in all, the experience was immersive and AIESEC in Jaipur one of a kind! The Realm | 38

AIESEC in Jaipur DAY 1 Pool Party Shenanigans The first day of Lcong began with high spirits from all the members as they made their way to the astounding location of Talai Bagh Palace. As they were chilling in their rooms, they didn't know what was waiting for them! Soon all were called downstairs and received a warm yet hooting welcome from the most dedicated CC. After the opening plenary and brief discussion with Navita Rathore, LCP (Local Committee President), everyone was enthralled by what was to follow from these 3 days. This session marked the commencement of Lcong. Of course, all Aiesecers then dived into jives with rhythmic spirits as they hummed and danced to various tunes. The best part about Day 1 was seeing everyone trying to make new friends and starting conversations with their tribe members…many ever-lasting bonds were made on the very first day of this precious conference. After that, ‘World Cafe’ was organized where all muddled up to discuss various issues prevailing in society, from politics to gender discrimination and whatnot. Day ended with the sharing of everyone how they felt about the first day of the conference. The Realm | 39

DAY 2 The Realm | 40 Aankhon mein teri…. Day two started with much excitement among members as all were to witness the ever famous XPDF, the eXperience Plan and Delivery Fare. For a sense of competition, tribes were created and every tribe will have a FLCP (Fictitious Local Committee President) of its own! Each tribe was an independent AIESEC entity on its own. XPDF takes place to make new members understand the workings, operations and the whole culture of AIESEC. After the XPDF, everyone indulged into department spaces with their respective TLs and VPs. After that, what followed was a deep session of everyone opening up about their lives and what they struggled with. This worked as ‘concrete’ for bonding maong members as everyone was able to now understand each other more uniquely. Don’t be too hard on yourself Soon, the dulls were withered away with a beautiful prom night organized by CC with a very unique AIESEC prom playlist. Everyone danced with their partners to beautiful love songs and sat poolside, in the park, discussing their favorite memories, books, and music. AIESEC in Jaipur

AIESEC in Jaipur DAY 3 Cocktail Crunches The XPDF was extended to the last day with all members totally engaged in it. Everyone was diligently trying to complete their targets. At the same time, everyone's already dreading leaving such an amazing experience behind and taking away the memories. So how to keep memories intact? We all wrote sugar cubes for each other! So that everyone had an envelope wrapped with beautiful memories of Lcong...Also, we were to complete a lot of dares (ahem)...! And then as the last day ended, we were up for an extravagant cocktail party where best memebers and XPDF team was announced. The last day of Lcong was teary yet quirky with drinking games and a lot of dancing! AND THIS WAY OUR LOCAL CONFERENCE SUCCESSFULLY ENDED The Realm | 41

Nonetheless, all of these magazine articles need to abide by the principle of writing the latest events in order to make the readers interested with the recent events. Furthermore, a magazine article sometimes needs to include interviews with the interviewees to get the most accurate information. AIESEC in Jaipur The Realm | 50
