My learning journey in

Airma.zmelallealSuhaeenrie

Learning to dance is a very enriching experience because it taught me things beyond simple steps. Although I am no good at dancing, I still enjoyed engaging in the module 1 and 2’s activities and graded tasks. Just as words are inadequate to convey emotion, so are my descriptions of the small joys and frustrations inherent in learning how to dance. From this point on, I will be sharing a compilation of my learning journey towards how to execute different types of dances and my reflections as well. Hope you enjoy!

After completing my HOPE 3 modules, I understood that I don't have to be particularly good at something to like it. I have a stiff physique and find it difficult to keep up with choreography. That did not, however, prevent me from enjoying my learning experience. As previously stated, my GT2 was my favorite activity because I did not have to plan the steps as I was simply moving my body to the energetic beat of Bruno Mars' Treasure. As a result of this realization, I will no longer be frightened to try new hobbies simply because they are difficult for me to undertake because my degree of proficiency does not equal my level of delight in a particular pursuit. Furthermore, I see that dancing is a simple but efficient way for us to preserve our culture. Learning traditional dances, even only the basic dance positions, helps us remember the Philippines' cultural heritage. It is

also an opportunity to celebrate our traditions, which is what sets us apart from other countries. Finally, I'm grateful for how dancing helped to lift my spirits. I was hesitant to record myself dancing at first, but after doing so, I felt inspired, even though I just danced for 2 minutes. As a result, I've adopted dancing as a kind of regular exercise because it's both enjoyable and beneficial to my cardiovascular health. Now, I always make sure to keep up with viral TikTok dances as well as the dance choreographies of my favorite kpop groups. Overall, dancing is a physical and mental activity that delivers multiple benefits to its participants. As a result, there's no reason why we shouldn't dance on a regular basis. It is honestly a lot of fun, and I'm grateful to HOPE 3 for bringing this to my awareness.

“Life is the dancer, and you are the dance.”
