DEEP DIVE HOW BREAK FREE FROM THE SHACKLES OF YOUR PAST AND CREATE THE EPIC LIFE YOU DESERVER ight then, let’s get stuck into the first ever DEEP DIVE session. Before we start I want to share with you a high level overview of what we’re going to dive into today. So to gain a deeper sense of ourselves it’s critical that we have a clear understanding of HOW our perceptions were formed. We’ll be covering this in-detail including some of the basic neuroscience that glues it all together. You’ll discover more about the 4 A’s model that will show you a path to shifting and letting go of the beliefs and perceptions that don’t serve you. And finally you’ll have an assignment to complete for our next group coaching call. In this, I’m going to share with you some pow- erful questions that I want you to answer truthfully and honestly. The questions will give you deep insight into yourself, your uncon- scious behaviours, the motivations behind them and the experi- ences that created them, so you can then gain an awareness of WHEN they show up in your life and how to manage them. So buckle up because we’re about to dive DEEP!2
ARE YOU PLAYING OUT ASTORY?W e can refer to our beliefs and perceptions as stories. We create stories around everyaspect of our life which are made up of beliefs, judgements, perceptions, expectations and more. These stories either liberate us or restrict us.SO IF YOU’VE EVER EXPERIENCED:• Frustration and stress around making money and attracting wealth into your life• Procrastination on the activities you know you should be doing to grow your business• Resistance and hesitation on sales calls• Not charging what you’re worth or afraid to ask for money• Struggling to connect deeply with your partner• Not having enough time and money to life the lifestyle you want with your family• Self-doubt when starting a new project or expressing who you are• The overwhelm of information unable to take actionI can tell you right now that you are buying into a story. 3

As we grow up ALL of our stories and beliefs are formed from the time we are born (even while in the womb) to around aged 6 or 7.Not great role models for anyone, but they loved their parentsdearly. The influences on our life during this time are responsible for creating our perceptions, beliefs and stories. As they grew up they lived a very basic life, with just enough mon-ey coming in from state benefits to buy enough food to survive. In fact kids are literally wandering around in a state of hypno- sis - their brains is functioning in the theta state which usuallyAs Charlie was going through school he tried hard. associated with deep relaxation or REM sleep! He wanted to make friends, get good grades and be the beststudent he could be.He knew that he never wanted to turn into his parents because Dr Bruce Lipton states:he saw what life was life for his friends at school and the things “For the first six years of a child’s life, the conscious part of the brainthey’d do with their parents. is not primarily functioning. THE INFLUENCES THAT WE SOAKEDIN AS A KID CAN BE BROKEN DOWN INTOTHE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: •Cultural or Geographic •Social •Environmental - verbal and non-verbalI’m not going to bang on forever about these influences but just know this.We observe different traditions and different beliefs in cultures around the world that affects the behaviour of that culture. This ishow cultural and geographic influences work at influencing our beliefs. Pretty self-explanatory, right?Social influences pertain to the events and “norms” that have shaped our parents (and even their parents) reality.Environmental influences are responsible for creating most of our perceptions, beliefs and stories. You may have heard your parents and others around you say, “money doesn’t grow on trees” or “it’s bad to have lots of money” or“you’ll never be good at that”.These phrases and the experiences associated with them will all be stored in your sub-conscious.Depending on how much “charge” or emotion each event has will determine how important that experience will be ranked and howmuch influence it will have on your life.So if you have been told in the early years of your life that “you have to always do well in school to get a good job” then theseenviron-mental influences will create an internal perception that “you’ve got to get good grades, and if you don’t you won’t be good enough”.These perceptions are a breathing story of who you are and who you are not, of what your opportunity and capacity is and is not, ofthe world around you and of your place and potential in the world. So essentially the influences we incur create the perceptions we carry that form the beliefs we accept and mold the expectations wehold. 5
YOUR REALITY FILTERS o now we’ve created allthese perceptions and beliefs uncon-sciously as a kid, how do we experiencereality?Well imagine the water filter in a swimmingpool for a moment. The size of the mesh will determine what comesthrough and what gets caught. The stuff that get’s through is released back into thewater and the stuff that get’s caught never makes it.So your beliefs are like the filter. There is a part of your brain called the reticularactivating system or RAS for short.Because we have an incredible amountof information bombarding all oursenses, all of the time and can onlyprocess a small amount of it, weneed a way to identify what’smost important and rele-vant to us. So the RAS takes in all the information coming into all our senses that include: •Sight •Smell •Hearing •Taste •Touch •Temperature •Pain •Balance •Kinesthetic senseInternal stimuli (such as detectors for blood glucose)Then it filters according to our belief about what’s mostimportant in that moment. This is essentially what generates our awareness of ourphysical reality. Our experience is filtered and warped based on our beliefsand perceptions. This is why one person can be terrified of cats and anothercan love them dearly.it’s all based on what beliefs that have created around cats intheir early childhood. 6

ACCOUNTABILITYIt’s a process called the 4 A’s that I learnt from one of my dearestmentors Brian Grasso. I spoke about the choice you now have as a result of your new awareness. ACCEPTANCE AWARENESS Accountability simply means holding yourself accountable to ACCOUNTABILITY making that new choice consistently. ADAPTATIONSo let’s break those down.ACCEPTANCE This is the key to your transformation. Here we learn to accept that everything is just story and we have Once you condition yourself to automatically shift your state, the power to re-write it at any time. behaviour or thought when your old story shows up you then reclaim your power back to create your life with ease and flow. This is one of the most critical steps.
