A ‘duck’ doesn’t know why it likes water or fields or riverbanks. It doesn’t know about flight or the sky, to the duck it’s all instinct. The same can be true for us. We perceive certain things happening at specific times in specific ways, and because of that we manifest them into our reality by the expectation of it. But what if we were to change those perceptions? What if we were to step outside the box and recognise that anything is possible? Just because action X has always resulted in Y doesn’t mean it has too. We write our marketing content based on our own perceptions, and on what we want others to perceive of us. Yet we have no control over that! Impact? Our perceptions will limit our outcomes, our reality, our results. So, the next time you are planning a campaign or marketing a product ask this question. How would you respond to receiving your sales messages, your correspondence? Don’t settle for the reality you have (up to date) perceived from your point of view. Instead write from the perception of your customer, and Y might just turn into Z! 3|

Yet many of us (me included) still carry the lingering paradigm that desiring to be rich is wrong. So, each month we’re including an except from the classic “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles. This early 1900’s writing will challenge all your paradigms about money and scarcity. & The first tenant in web development is that you must keep your website current and on par with current trends. But many businesses forget to do so, they get a site that works wells, and they stick with it. Updating the content regularly is not enough anymore. You also need to keep IMPROVING the USER experience, giving your customers new ways to reach out and interact with you. Keep an eye on what’s happening around you. What are you using personally? Did you know you can now be notified on WhatsApp message when your favourite show is now streaming on Netflix? Find a way to brand and market on all the new platforms that are becoming popular (not just for social purposes but for business ones as well). That personalized experience will grow the “Know, Like, Trust” factor with your customers and prospects. If you have a goal to earn a million dollars a year, you might bend rules, break laws or even hurt people to achieve that goal. But if you have a system that says you make money by providing real value to others, then you’re going to stay on the right path. A habit is, “I write every day from 8am to 10am.” A system is, “I work on writing a book every day from 8am to 10am for two months, at which time I’ve completed a book.” This might be an oversimplification, but the point is the system has more flexibility than a habit, allowing you to adapt as you go. FIGURE OUT WHAT you want to achieve and then create systems to get you there. Build flexibility into your system so that when something unexpected happens, you know how to get back on track. Lastly, focus your attention on where you are now (the system). You’ll be able to celebrate little victories every single day by using your systems, rather than putting happiness off until you finally reach your destination. Plus when you DO reach your destination, because you have systems in place, you also won’t experience the paradoxical and yet all too common experience of feeling empty or sad because you no longer have that big goal to look forward to.  | LAUNCH Magazine

Originally, we didn’t know what these magnificent structures were for, it was many years before we found out that they were mausoleums and temples, filled with hidden rooms and purpose. But architecturally speaking, one thing is true of all of them: the wider the base the more stable they are and able to survive as our world moves and evolves. THE SAME IS TRUE OF OUR BUSINESSES. If we have a wide stable base, we have the capability to survive and by that we mean a range of products and services that we can utilize to give our business a strong base in multiple markets. ’ My first website was in WordPress. I was a devotee. I attended all the local Meetups, weekend WordCamps, tried launching my own YouTube channel. I did it all – purchased web hosting, purchased a custom theme, purchased plug-ins, and set-up integration with MailChimp. But one day a significant plug-in stopped working. No support. I had to rework my site. Then there was the day I I made a configuration change and broke my site. Ooops! Who to call? It was a lot of effort and cost. And I felt all alone, like a rowboat adrift in an ocean. I don’t remember what caused me to start searching for alternatives. But one day in the fall of 2018 I stumbled on an ad for BuilderAll. They offered a 14-day free trial, so I signed up. It wasn’t love at first sight, but it connected me with their awesome trainer Shelley Turner. Every Tuesday night I would attend her live Zoom training sessions on how to use BuilderAll and observe. Was this the platform for me? Was it worth leaving the known universe of WordPress? What won me over? It was 3 things. FIRST, the opportunity to have all my tools in one place, all interconnected, all designed to work together felt so good. Having access to live support and trainers? Win! SECOND, I was enthralled by their pace of development. Features were constantly evolving. I liked that. The product felt fresh, not perfect. WordPress is an open-source platform. BuilderAll is a private company so they can evolve and pivot much faster. Which leads to number THREE. Exposure to international Digital Marketing trends. Often, they are teaching techniques that are barely seedlings of activity here in North America. Most of their software evolution is triggered by new marketing opportunities. LAUNCH Magazine | 18

One of the hardest lessons I keep failing at is asking for HELP. I’ve wasted so much time and money trying to figure things out on my own. I am fiercely independent. Perhaps it’s pride that stops me asking. Perhaps I’m just scared of hearing no. Or perhaps I feel like a failure for not having all the answers. Yet every time I do reach out for help, the most welcoming hands lift me up and then push me forward. I’ve taken most of my quantum leaps by humbly asking for help. How can I help you? This magazine is dedicated to all of you who are bravely believing that life can be different. Perhaps you have questions about BuilderAll, or Nick James, or JV Zoo, or Information Publishing? : Originally published in 1910, this classic book lays out a roadmap for transforming one’s life. This chapter challenges us to see wealth as our right as human beings, a resource given to us by the Divine to ensure we live an abundant life, in body, mind and soul. hatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. We cannot rise to our greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless we have plenty of money. In order to unfold the soul and to develop talent we must have many things to use, and we cannot have these things unless we have money to buy them with. Humans develop in MIND, SOUL, and BODY by making use of things, and society is so organized that we must have money in order to become the possessor of things. Therefore, the basis of all advancement for humanity must be the science of getting rich. The object of all life is development; and everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining. This means we have the right to the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to our fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, our right to be rich. No person ought to be satisfied with a little if they are capable of using and enjoying more. The purpose of Nature is the advancement and unfoldment of life; and each of us should have all that can contribute to the power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life; to be content with less is sinful. LAUNCH Magazine | 22

The person who owns all they want for the living of all the life they are capable of living is RICH. You cannot have all you want without plenty of money. Life has advanced so far, and become so complex, that even the most ordinary man or woman requires a great amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that even approaches completeness. Every person naturally wants to become all that they are capable of becoming; this desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature. Success in life is becoming what you want to be. You can become what you want to be only by making use of things, and you can have the free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them. Therefore, an understanding of the LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE and the science of getting rich is the most essential of all knowledge. There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life. That desire is praiseworthy. There are three motives for which we live; we live for the BODY, we live for the MIND, and we live for the SOUL. Each is desirable, and neither body, mind, or soul can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression. It is not right or noble to live only for the soul and deny mind or body; and it is wrong to live for the intellect and deny body and soul. We are all acquainted with the consequences of living for the body and denying both mind and soul. We cannot be really happy or satisfield unless our bodies are living fully in every function, and unless the same is true for our mind and his soul. | LAUNCH Magazine

Wherever there is unexpressed possibility, or function not performed, there is unsatisfied desire. Desire is possibility seeking expression, or function seeking performance. A person cannot live fully in their BODY without good food, comfortable clothing, and warm shelter, and freedom from excessive toil. Rest and recreation are also necessary to one’s physical life. A person cannot live fully in their MIND without books and time to study them, without opportunity for travel and observation, or without intellectual companionship. To live fully in mind they must have intellectual recreations, and surround themselves with all the objects of art and beauty one is capable of using and appreciating. A person cannot live fully in their SOUL without love, and and love is denied expression by poverty. Our highest happiness is found in the bestowal of benefits on those we love. Love finds its most natural and spontaneous expression in giving. When we have nothing to give cannot we cannot fill our place as a partner, a parent, a friend, a citizen, or a human being. It is in the use of material things that we find full life for our body, develop our mind, and unfold our soul. It is therefore of supreme importance to be rich. It is perfectly right that you should desire to be rich; if you are a normal man or woman you cannot help doing so. It is perfectly right that you should give your best attention to the Science of Getting Rich, for it is the noblest and most necessary of all studies. If you neglect this study, you are derelict in your duty to yourself, to God, and to humanity. You can render God and humanity no greater service than to make the most of yourself.
