MMeasnsaaggeifnrogmDirector Dear Colleagues, The month of March was full of events and success stories. It was also a month of closing the first quarter of the year. Let’s have a look at our achievements. Sales wise, we managed to close the first quarter with quite good numbers in OI and Sales, thanks to the contribution of all sales team. Our OI accumulated for 3 months was around last year for the same period. And our sales in ended with by end of March 2021. On the Operation side, new procedures have been implemented to facililitate the work flow and document all the steps of different projects. During this quarter, we initiated a procurement procedure to channel all the purchasing in one hand. Thanks to our logistics and finance department, we manage to close the turnover at the given target. The closing of 2021 was completed perfectly by the finance team, and the audit report can only confirm this statement. On the HR side, our initiative Jump 2022 dedicated to promote internal resources has started successfully and more opportunities are coming in the next months. The events and celebrations were perfectly organized with the contribution of the newly nominated ‘ Last but not least, our Marketing team has succeeded to publish the first and second edition of our internal magazine - KSB Spotlight. SSuuccccesessSstoSrytory Project Name: Drinking Water Treatment Plant End User: Mayor’s office of the Akhal Region, Turkmenistan Customer Name: Dost Gurlushik Company, Turkmenistan Project Manager: Mr. Marwan Jassim The implementation of the Drinking Water Treatment Plant project with a capacity of 50,000 m3 per day began in 2019. This plant provides clean drinking water to a completely new city in Turkmenistan - Akhal City, Turkmenistan’s first “smart city” worth $1.5 billion. It is being erected in the heart of the country, 30 kilometers soutwest of Ashgabat. The new administrative department center consist of “smart” residential buildings controlled via smartphone, squares, the building of the city hall and other institutions, the building of the region department of education and culture, a drama theater, a library, a clinic for infectious diseases, a museum, the Higher International School of Horse Breeding and the Reasearch and Production horse breeding center. About 70 thousand people will live in it. The project was implemented by the Turkmen company Dost Gurlushik by order of the Mayor’s office in Akhal region. SMAN specialists cooperated with the Dost Gurlushik Company and participated in the implementation of the project from the design stage to the moment the equipment was launched. They advised the designer to select the optimal design solution, helped to select the optimal KSB pumps and valves, supervised installation and commissioning. This water treatment plant, the “heart” of which is KSB pumps, meets all international standards and provides clean drinking water to the residents of Akhal City.

What job did you have before joining KSB Middle East? Elaiza: Being part of the process of delivery of goods from point A to B in the most efficient, effective ane economic means possible.. 2. How do you balance your career and family? Elaiza: Prioritize family; spouse, kids, parents, siblings and relatives - and extend it with workmates, not just friends but family. Both sides will provide balance one will require.. 3. What is your favorite part in working at KSB Middle East? Elaiza: Travel opportunity to work, learn new things and meet colleagues from KSB world. KSB Middle East is also a family oriented family.. 4. What things do you enjoy outside of work? Elaiza: Activities - such as fun run, lunch and dinner date with friends and workmates and company gatherings outside the office premises.. 5. How do you define success? Elaiza: Success is a state of mind or conditioning of the mind of being satisfied, without regrets, without caus- ing any harm to others, inspiring others of one’s achievements while maintaining good relations to people whom influenced oneself, of being the present me.. 6. Are you a beach or mountain person? Elaiza: A beach person. 7. Best place you’ve been to? Elaiza: Higantes Island, Philippines where I met my husband. It was the best ever vacation of my life as I found my soulmate!! 8. Tell us three things most people don’t know about you. Elaiza: I’ve been living in UAE for 11 years now, a sensitive person, and i love SPICY foods!!

During the celebration of the Women’s Day, the gentlemen had a surprised presents to all the ladies as this was a special event for the extraordinary women of KSB ME. The Nowruz celebration led by Mazdak was very informative as he explained their traditions and one of them is the set up of haft-seen table.
