MVN Kindergarten Aravali Hills NEWSLETTER (2021-22) EDITION – JULY – SEPTEMBER Our second semester was much fun as it was loaded with festivities and celebrations. We believe, key to instilling a love of learning is by disguising it with plenty of fun. We enjoy sharing the WoW moments and amazing activities that are carried out with each letter and number. Our session encourages curiosity and discovery through our multidisciplinary, immersive and child led approach. Our sessions are warm and loving where children are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. We nurture and facilitate the emotional development of our children into happy, confident and engaged individual. The quarter has been wonderful and rewarding with bountiful celebrations, further giving children opportunities to learn and thrive with varied culture and traditions.



Telescope Activity Learning is always fun at MVN Kindergarten, we believe, key to instilling a love of learning is by disguising it with plenty of fun. Such was our week where children enjoyed making “T” Telescope with tearing and pasting. Children were told about the instrument and its special glasses that helps to see the faraway objects. Children were excited to hear how an astronomer uses it to see stars, galaxies and planets.

Alligator Craft!! Children go crazy when it comes to animals, so creating crafts featuring them has an extra appeal. This week we had a fun filled learning as our kindergartners made “a” alligator with hand printing. They thoroughly enjoyed dipping their hands in green colour and further giving it features with black sketch pens. Characteristics of alligators and their habitats were discussed. Crafts are always great way to keep the little minds occupied while they learn the phonic sounds. We make our lessons fun filled so that our early years enjoy the most!! Happy Learning!!

CORN SALAD PARTY Being healthy is a personal choice and the best way is to start right from childhood. Keeping this in mind our MVNites enthusiastically participated in Corn Salad making activity. Our tiny tots donned ‘Chef Caps’ to exhibit their culinary skills in 'Cooking without Fire'. They mixed different ingredients like corn, cucumber, onion and tomato They learnt about nutritional values. They ate their corn salad with great fervour and joy.

LEMONADE MAKING ACTIVITY “Learning by Doing” To recapitulate the letter 'l' and its phonetic sound ‘Lemonade Making Activity’ was organised for our kindergarteners. The teachers and students enjoyed this splendid activity over the online session with great zest. Our Tiny tots prepared lemonade by squeezing the lemon, sprinkling the salt and sugar and stirring the mixture. One could sense the excitement around and their sparking eyes were worth watching as the delicious lemonade tickled their taste buds. They drew different fruits, coloured them and pasted it on the straw, making the beverage more appealing. They also learnt that lemon is an important source of Vitamin C which is an excellent immunity booster. Healthy and instant drink was relished by all the children. It was a fun based learning experience which will be cherished by them.



STORY NARRATION Story telling is an effective method of instruction as it involves many mediums of communication for example use of gestures, song and dance. It moulds characters and provides enjoyment. It broadens the knowledge of the children and establishes a good relationships among pupils and their teacher. Stories always give wings to our imagination and fly us to places beyond boundaries of the physical world. With this in mind a story-telling session was conducted for our blooming orators. The kids were colourfully dressed up to enact the characters. They used amazing props to present their stories. Each and every story had a moral. Their facial expressions, voice modulation and confidence was like a cherry on a cake.



VOLCANIC ERUPTION “LEARNING IS EXPERIENCE,REST ALL IS INFORMATION” Here at MVN KINDERGARTEN,ARAVALI HILLS the belief is to teach through experiential learning. Our kids were thrilled to learn about the new letter „V‟ and see how „V‟ volcanic eruption takes place .Children loved doing the activity with enthusiastic hunger to learn more about the same. Activity based learning helps students learn and retain information.

SPEAK ON SESSION ON COMMUNITY HELPERS For the holistic growth of children and to inculcate the value of „Respect for all‟, a role play activity on the topic Community Helpers was organised for the little munchkins. Kids were dressed up as their favourite helper and were very eager to perform with their colourful props. They enacted very confidently and spoke few lines on the same. All the kids participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed every bit of it.



ADDITION LEARNING BY DOING “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.” Using the right building blocks at the start of students‟ academic years, mathematical learning can support a lifetime of abstract thinking Addition is usually the first mathematical operation kids learn, and it is an important building block for all math skills. The Little scholars of MVN Kindergarten, Aravali Hills learnt the concept with fun-to-play addition activities. These distinctive and integrated activities helped kids understand the relationship between numbers and how quantities relate to one another. Learning became fun and exciting with hands-on practice and manipulatives!





GANESH CHATURTHI is a festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu God of wisdom and success. It is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and can last up to 10 days during the Hindu month of Bhadra, which usually falls between mid-August and mid-September. Vibrant festivals and bountiful celebrations provide an opportunity to learn and thrive, “Ganesh Chaturthi” was such a celebration. MVN Kindergarteners presented Virtual Assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi. They were beautifully dressed as Lord GANESHA, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Legend of Lord Ganesha was narrated with a skit, they thoroughly enjoyed the story about how Lord Ganesha acquired his trunk. Little munchkins also spoke about the festival and its significance followed by the aarti recitals. They showcased their love and affection by presenting mesmerizing dance performances. They took the role of torch bearers and requested everyone to celebrate eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi.

INDEPENDENCE DAY ASSEMBLY Pinning flags to uniforms, watching the flag hoisting and singing the National Anthem… Independence Day celebrations at school has always been a treasured memory for many. But at a time where such celebrations can not occur due to safety reasons, MVN has chosen the innovative way to honour the day. Independence day celebrations in school often mean a beautiful decorated campus , students proudly singing the anthem and looking forward to present some amazing dance and song performances. But this year again, Covid 19 has shut schools indefinitely and added a twist to the 75th Independence Day celebrations. So, the patriotism of MVNites have found a digital expression. They presented a medley of patriotic songs while there were also dances and speeches to boost our patriotic feeling.







RAKSHABANDHAN Rakshabandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate a bond of love and care between brother and sister. The paths may change as life goes along, but the bond between a brother and sister remains ever strong. To continue with the customs and rituals, little kindergarteners made magnificent and decorative Pooja thalis out of old CDs. They also revealed their creative side by making a beautiful Rakhi and a Goodie bag for their siblings and decorated it with variety of stickons and pearls... They promised to protect each other from all kinds of evils and be there for each other in need and crisis. The value of love and protection was portrayed to the students through stories and discussion. They enjoyed watching the song “Phoolon ka Taaron ka” and the importance of festival was emphasized.



World literacy Day “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.” To spread the message about the importance of literacy among the little learners, this day was virtually celebrated on 8th September 2021 with great enthusiasm. The teacher explained about the World literacy Day to children. Also, to show the joy of learning and to fulfil the mission of literacy, the students of Nursery made beautiful Pencil bookmarks using ice cream sticks with the saying \"Each one...Teach one\" and were also encouraged to donate books, notebooks, stationary etc. to the needy people. This day was also helpful in inculcating the moral values in kids such as generosity, caring and sharing .





TEACHERS DAY *Parents are the first teachers* and *Teachers are the second parents* together they shape the future of the students ! The Covid 19 pandemic shook up the world but the Teachers showed their resoluteness by tackling the problem expertly, showcasing skills and innovation and their tenacity to impart knowledge even in the most trying situations. MVNites celebrated *Teachers Day* with great zeal and enthusiasm. The children expressed their gratitude to the teachers by enthusiastically dancing, singing songs, reciting rhymes and shlokas. They made their teachers proud and their messages touched the heart ! It was a novel experience that taught everyone involved that a program can be successfully executed even in a situation of constant instability.



KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS Students of MVN Kindergarten Aravali Hills Celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm to honour and commemorate India's victory, and to pay tribute to Indian Armed Forces who fought in Kargil. With great pride and respect in our hearts we remembered the Martyrs who fought for our country till their last breath, symbolizing great courage and sacrifice. Our Nation will forever be indebted to those brave hearts. Students also chanted JAI HIND in chorus showing their solidarity for the nation. LET US SALUTE THE INDIAN ARMED FORCES. JAI HIND !



Feels like yesterday that our journey of Kindergarten began and in a blink we are at our first milestone. To celebrate this special day our students presented an assembly recreating and recalling everything they have learnt so far. We felt nothing but pride watching our children twirl around in happiness rejoicing on this very special day.





FRIENDSHIP DAY \"Friendship is a priceless gift, that cannot be bought or sold. But the value is far greater, than a mountain of gold.“ \"A true friend is the greatest of all blessings.\" There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship. Friendship Day is just an opportunity to let our friends know that we value their presence in our life . Children of MVN Kindergarten Aravali Hills made beautiful hand decorated cards to express their love to their bosom buddies and wished each one a safe ,healthy and happy life. HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!



15th August – Independence Day was celebrated with a lot of gaiety and fervour. The Virtual Assembly made the kindergarteners ponder on what it took for our country to gain Independence and how far it has come since. They recited patriotic rhymes and dressed up beautifully in tri colour clothes. They excitedly participated in the “ My India – My Pride – Activity” and shared interesting facts and insights about the National Symbols of India.

Our little shining stars of MVN KINDERGARTEN,ARAVALI HILLS rejoiced in the spirit of Independent India with patriotic zeal as they dressed up to paint the atmosphere like a Tricolour Children made beautiful crafts and also made tricolour sandwiches to add to celebration of National Pride ,spreading good vibes of patriotism.



The Week long Festival of „VAN MAHOTSAV‟ was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. The week started with SEED INVESTIGATION Activity, where they collected seeds from the items easily found in our kitchens. They were fascinated to discover the differences of size, shape and colour. They then chose their favourite seeds and planted them while pledging to water it daily. Within the week they were enthralled to see their seeds bloom into tiny saplings and plants. The young ones shared the pictures of their achievement very proudly while posing with the Fruits of their labour !



The children celebrated the Monsoon Festival of Teej , the bounty of nature and the arrival of rain by dressing up in traditional Indian Attire. They enjoyed learning about the significance of this festival and were enthralled by the stories of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. They had a lot of fun creating a beautiful scenery complete with clouds, swings and greenery all around while learning vegetable painting, using ladyfingers.



National Nutrition Week was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm . The children realised the importance of having a balanced diet and learnt how nutrition boosts our immunity and gives the body ability to fight against diseases. They were taught the importance of Eating Right and that nutrition isn‟t just about eating, it is about learning to live. They enjoyed creating their own versions of healthy colourful salads which they munched away happily in class.



International Day of Peace is observed on 21st September every year. The theme for the year 2021 is “Lets Shape Peace Together”. 21st September – International Day of Peace is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of Non Violence & Cease Fire. The kindergarteners celebrated the day by crafting beautiful Paper Plate Doves. They learnt that doves are a symbol of love, peace, harmony and renewal of life. They came up with beautiful ideas of how people around can be helped such as - Share a smile ! Don‟t be rude ! Offer to Help ! They were excited to contribute in their own ways in order to “Make the World a better Place for You and Me” !



HINDI DIWAS Hindi Diwas reminds us of our true identity and unites the people of the country. Hindi Diwas is a day that inspires us to have a sense of patriotism. Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to emphasize the importance of Hindi and to promote it among every generation. Tiny tots of MVN Kindergarten Aravali Hills touched different arenas of Hindi language with their favourite Hindi Rhyme. Handmade props used by them glorified their presentation. Hindi is our national language, we should respect our national language because Hindi reflects our culture and civilization. Celebrating Hindi Diwas is an effort to promote the Hindi language
