Various Components of a CPU:- If talking about the components of the CPU, let’s first understand what is CPU. So, CPU stands for ‘Central Processing Unit’ which ultimately is the brain of the computer. Coming back to our topic, various components of the CPU {According to the ICT book} which are as follows:- 1. The ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) 2.Control Unit. 3.Registers.

1. ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit):-  The ALU is a part of the CPU and a digital circuit which is centered to function for the logic and arithmetic operations of the computer.  In some processors, the ALU is divided into two units: an arithmetic unit (AU) and a logic unit.  All the very logical and Arithmetic operations which are conducted by the ALU are stored in registers or in the memory sector of the computer or sent to the output devices.

2. Registers:-  Register is a temporary storage memory segment that is made into the processor (CPU).  Register memory is smaller in ccoommpparaisrisoeinonttoo other computer memory like as Main Memory, Secondary Memory, and Cache Memory.  In the time of rendition of computer programs all of the data is temporarily stored in the registers.

3. Control Unit:-  The Control Unit is a very crucial part of a computer system as it plays a role in carrying out or to execute the stored program instructions.  It actually initiates a data flow between the computer processor and Input/Output devices to tell them what and when a work is to be done by them.
