OUR PROCESS & WHAT TO EXPECT This book is meant to be a source of inspiration and information for your portrait order. We look forward to collaborating with you to create unique art for your home that emphasizes your aesthetic and preserves the personal, intimate details of your family ’s story. WE’LL FIGURE IT OUT together! STEP Our portrait process always starts with a pre-session where we plan your session and chat about what you will ultimately do with your images when they 1 are ready to print. For example, if you would like to start a wall of small portraits in your hallway or if you are looking for one great family picture to put above yoru mantel, we can tailor your session to create those images. STEP TIME TO shine! 2 Now is the time to relax and enjoy being with your people. Don’t worry if some- one hasn’t had thier nap, or isn’t quite in the mood to smile. We will take it from STEP here! It’s our job to get great images that fit your vision, and we’ve done this before! Even if things don’t go exactly as planned, it will alll work out! 3 Sometimes the unexpected moments make the best images. GET prepared! After your session, in the two weeks it takes us to work on editing and preparing your images, you can spend some time looking around your home, seeing where you would like to hang images, which mediums(framed, acrylic, canvas, etc) best suit your style, and taking some measurements. We are as excited to get images in your home as you are! STEP FINAL PRODUCT 4 When it comes to your viewing session, we can never have too much information! Knowing what you want to print, where you’d like to hang images, 3 what sizes may work, and what you have in mind for gifts, will be a huge help. Bring whom ever will help you make a decision, whether it ’s your oldest, your spouse, or your best friend. We’ll start with a slide show of your images, then we’ll narrow them down to your very favorites, helping you decide which images best fit your space. All of this will ensure that you have beautiful prints in hand within a few weeks of your viewing session!

Adding a custom, solid wood frame to your canvas gives it a more refined and finished look. Our floating frames leave a half-inch space between the canvas and the frame, maintain- ing the three-dimensional look of the canvas. un-framed wall portraits ENCAUSTIC PRINTS To create one of our Encaustic Prints, your image is first printed on a heavy cotton paper to create a museum quality print. The print is then permanently mounted to a 1.5” deep panel with a bamboo edge. Local artist Alison Higdon then applies a layer of beeswax by hand to the surface of the print, adding color and texture to suit the particular image.
