Council to include two member states from Africa. Namibians will not be wrong or arrogant to expect that they should occupy one of the seats regardless of size of population or economy, but earned through sheer commitment to the UN ideals. The Namibian political landscape will not escape change with one of the greatest trees lost in the forest of excellence. The famous and legendary Troika of late Hidipo Hamutenya, Theo-Ben Gurirab and President Hage Geingob who, under the leadership of the Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, led the two-pronged attack in the battlefields of the southern African forests of Angola and Namibia are smaller, but the remaining Nujoma/Geingob duo with pres. Hifikepunye Pohamba will tie the Swapo bonds even stronger in the loss of a trusted comrade and servant. The great trees in the forests of giants might be few, but the surviving giants will strengthen their bonds and stay relentless on the course of unity towards the orderly transition of power to the second echelons of trained and tested leader- ship in waiting. People find their solace and strength in tragedy and the great task of staying the constitutional course of political stability, visible peace and just social rela- tions will fell on the soldiers of the Geingob/Nujoma stalwarts. There is no doubt that the passing of Theo-Ben Gurirab will remind the youth of his advice and emulate his example of tempered language of negotiations that will bring them nearer to their goals than the misguided language of demand by insult. A nation in mourning is almost always a nation inspired to cut the weeds of corruption, poverty, land reform, homelessness and unemployment from the forests of greatness in the Namibian paradise of peace and stability. Only the greatest of the great men, like Ben “Usakos” leaves a future that cannot be outlived and like the famous railways of his hometown leave tracks that disappear over the horizons to a destiny of hope and achievement that is somewhere yonder and will be reached. Dr Theo-Ben Gurirab, an international statesman and Namibian icon from the Usakos hamlet, is departing as a prophet who is honoured both amongst his own and the rulers of the cities of world as a great servant and great leader alike. The spirit of Theo-Ben, a great man, but an even greater Namibian, will remain, touch and guide many generations still to come.

FY2011,” Shetumenya stated. at a forward price to book of 1.0,” Bidvest Namibia has disposed of the As an interim measure, Tunacor has Shetumenya concluded. In contrast, meat price increases In his report, he urged the companydecelerated in June 2017, rising by6.9% compared to 8.5% in May.This is the slowest price increasefor meat products since November2016 when prices rose by 4.4%.Bread, cereals and meat account formore than 50% of the food itemsand hence have a strong impact onthe overall food price inflation. Fruit price increases remainstrong at 12.4%, although slightlylower than in May at 12.6%.Prices for vegetables have seen thestrongest growth with 6.1% sinceJanuary 2017 when they increasedby 8.3%. Although higher than inMay, inflation for milk, cheese andeggs remained the lowest sinceJune 2012 when prices decreasedby 1.0%. Milk prices went up by0.8% in June 2018, compared to0.2% in May. Local economic analyst, KlausSchade, projects that fuel price in-creases in July and most likely alsoin August will put further upwardpressure on the inflation rate. He stated that fuel price increaseswill also affect production costsand, if it continues, will result insecond-round effects and priceincreases for goods sensitive to thecost of fuel. Likewise, he stated that heexpects the inflation rate for breadand cereals to increase further, mainly because of the low baseeffect since May 2017 when breadand cereal prices started to actuallydecline. On the other hand, bettergrazing conditions could result ina further slowdown of meat prices.Food price could remain at currentlevel, because of the opposingtrends of bread price and meatprice increases.
