Here is Shirley ttelling us about the ancient art of creating tapestry and embroidery Let's view some of her pieces on the the screen after next -----> She explained and showed the differences between the art of making tapestry and embroidery

Shirley explains that each embroidery and tapestry project is purchased as a complete art package with drawing, material, exact instructions, the appropriate threads, and picture depicting an image pf the expected end product. See next slide for a few of Shirley's art pieces

Ceating Abstract Art Denise demonstrates the art of creating art from cut- outs. Use this method to create fun pieces from scratch or to enhance an existing picture.

Recycled... Here Chima shows Courtney how to create a one-of-a-kind vase from recycled material around the house. She is using discarded bottles, glue, magazine cutouts as her primary material.

Dutch Auction You can see how much Lilieth is enjoying her Dutch Auction game. This was all her idea and execution. The item auctioned was a bottle of wine. I hope I am not taking tales out of school if I tell you that we made, for our accounts, three times as much as she spent on the bottle of wine.

Thanks you Mr Parchment for your day's cleaning-up in the very hot sun Outdoor Cleaning -- North Lawn Rev Ann seems to be having a good go at lawn cleaning .

Persons were asked to bring hand tools Outdoor Cleaning -- Sunken Garden Courtney and Jeanne - determined to get the job done.

More Idelle and Karen share a hug before setting out to work Outdoor Cleaning Dawn is not shying away from some shovelling She is ably assisted.

Youth hroup doing a great job at cleaning up the Meditation Garden Laura and her team doing a stellar job at cleaning and decorating the Meditation Garden. Team at work: Laura, Kevonie, Shavanie....

As we pause to admire the space let us remember to be grateful to the youth for their hard work

composting Composting is the process of recycling organic matter such as food scraps and leaves into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich soil and plants. It is an aerobic method of decomposing organic solid wastes into a humus-like material known as compost which is rich in nutrients and beneficial for plants. [source: bing.com]

Returning to the soil our organic waste is all about taking care to have healthy soils in our environment.(See pictures depicting the process)
