65th Masonic Convention BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT MECHANICS 1. ELIGIBILITY 1.1. Only Master Masons who are members of any Masonic Lodge in any Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao and are duly registered in the 65th Mindanao Masonic Convention are eligible to play; 1.2. Multi-District Jurisdictions/ Areas in Mindanao include the following: 1.2.1. Northern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.2. Southern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.3. Western Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 2. OFFICIAL LINE-UP 2.1. A team is composed of either of the following: 2.1.1. All players belonging to one Masonic District, or 2.1.2. Players belonging to different Masonic District, but from one of the Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao; 2.2. The standard composition of a team is minimum of 15 players in its official line-up; 2.3. The official line-up of players must be submitted to the Secretariat prior to the start of the game for verification; 2.4. Said line-up shall be duly signed by the respective coach or team captain concerned; 2.5. Replacement of players in the line-up may be allowed in the subsequent games provided that said player meets the same eligibility requirement; and 2.6. A team may hire a non-Mason coach; 3. FORMAT OF THE GAME 3.1. FIBA rules shall govern the general conduct of the tournament; 3.2. The format of the tournament varies, depending on the number of participating teams: 3.2.1. If there are only two teams, the game shall automatically be the championship; 3.2.2. If three, there shall be a drawing of lots to determine the “bye”; the “non- bye” teams shall play against each other and the winning team shall compete with the “bye” team for the championship; 3.2.3. If four, there shall also be drawing of lots to determine the pair. The losing teams shall be matched for the 3rd place and the winning teams shall pit each other for the championship; 3.2.4. However, if the total number is five or more, an appropriate format which shall be agreed by all teams represented by the team captain or a Mason Coach shall be adopted considering the limited time of the tournament;
3.3. Local rules will be implemented on top of the FIBA Rules; its provisions are as follows: 3.3.1. The “Pasarelle” system shall be adopted wherein there shall be no substitution for the first three quarters. However, in the fourth and final quarter, the coach may field any players in the line-up; 3.3.2. Each quarter shall be played for 10 minutes using the stopwatch; 3.3.3. There shall be an allotted one 60-second timeout per quarter per team; Except in the final quarter, wherein there shall be two 60-second timeouts per team; 3.3.4. During overtime, one 60-second timeout shall be allotted to each team; and 3.3.5. There shall be a five-minute break during half-time, and a two-minute break between the first and second quarters, and between the third and fourth. 3.3.6. Should there be grey or mislooked areas in the mechanics, the Tournament Manager and the host DDGM shall judiciously decide on the matter. 4. TEAM COLORS AND UNIFORM 4.1. Teams shall follow the official uniform of the tournament; 4.2. Official basketball uniform is defined as: 4.2.1. Must have at least an upper uniform; 4.2.2. For the upper uniform, it should be made of sando, t-shirt, or jersey; 4.2.3. District color or Lodge Color, if any, must be given preference; 4.2.4. Must have number at the back and front of the jersey; 4.2.5. Uniform number should be whole numbers ranging from 1 to 99 only; 4.2.6. Shorts must not be made of “maong and other non-athletic fabric; and 4.2.7. Must wear socks and rubber shoes. 4.3. Players wearing long pants, jogging pants, watches, earrings, rings, or any other jewelry that may be injurious to other players and those with long finger nails are not allowed to play; and 4.4. Players who are not in official prescribed uniform cannot play. 5. SCHEDULE OF GAMES 5.1. Schedule of games shall be determined after the drawing of lots after the opening program; and 5.2. 65th Masonic Convention SHOOTING TOURNAMENT MECHANICS 1. ELIGIBILITY 1.1. Only Master Masons who are members of any Masonic Lodge in any Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao and are duly registered in the 65th Mindanao Masonic Convention are eligible to play; 1.2. Multi-District Jurisdictions/ Areas in Mindanao include the following: 1.2.1. Northern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.2. Southern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.3. Western Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 2. OFFICIAL LINE-UP 2.1. A team is composed of either of the following: 2.1.1. All players belonging to one Masonic District, or 2.1.2. Players belonging to different Masonic District, but from one of the Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao; 2.2. A team is composed of four (4) members. However, only the scores of the Top 3 members per stage shall be tabulated. 2.3. A Masonic District may field multiple teams; 2.4. Those registered participants, but not a member of any competing team, may be allowed to shoot upon proper coordination with and consent of the Tournament Manager and/or host DDGM; 2.5. The official line-up of shooters must be submitted to the Convention Secretariat before the tournament day for verification; 2.6. Said line-up shall be duly signed by the respective DDGM or team captain; 3. FORMAT OF THE GAME 3.1. There shall be five (5) stages with 123 MINIMUM ROUNDS; 3.2. The different divisions are as follows: 3.2.1. DA/SF (Double Action/Striker Fired) (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.2. SHC (Stock High Cap) (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.3. UNLIMITED (Open or Race Gun) (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.4. CARRY OPTICS (9mm Pistol with Red Dot Scope) (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.5. SINGLE STACK (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.6. LIMITED 10 (Champion/Runner-up) 3.2.7. PCC (Champion/Runner-up) 3.3. The Team Member can use any pistol except for “carry optics and unlimited.” 3.4. The score will be based on hit factor (HF), that is, the total points divided by time;
3.5. However, it must be noted that DA/SF, CARRY OPTICS, SINGLE STACK & All pistol with 9MM Ammo will be scored as minor; 3.6. The sample scoring method are as follows: 3.6.1. Major Load A-5 Cal. 45, 40 B-4 C-3 3.6.2. Minor Load Cal 9MM A-5 B-3 C–1 3.6.3. Example of the computation 58 pts (A-10+B-2) Divide time: 10.42 sec Hit Factor (HD)= 5.566 3.7. The competition is only a “Fun Shoot” and NOT a “sanctioned” match; however, its conduct shall follow the PSMOC Rules and Regulations; 3.8. There shall be a “Team Relay” Competition after the Regular Shooting Competition; and 3.9. Should there be grey or mislooked areas in the mechanics, the Tournament Manager and the host DDGM shall judiciously decide on the matter. 4. TEAM COLORS AND UNIFORM 4.1. Participants must be in their comfortable shooting uniform; and 4.2. Preferably, participants must wear their official district color, if any. 5. 65th Mindanao Convention TENNIS TOURNAMENT MECHANICS 1. ELIGIBILITY 1.1. Only Master Masons who are members of any Masonic Lodge in any Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao and are duly registered in the 65th Mindanao Masonic Convention are eligible to play; 1.2. Multi-District Jurisdictions/ Areas in Mindanao include the following: 1.2.1. Northern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.2. Southern Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 1.2.3. Western Mindanao Masonic Multi-District 2. OFFICIAL LINE-UP 2.1. A team is composed of either of the following: 2.1.1. All players belonging to one Masonic District, or 2.1.2. Players belonging to different Masonic District, but from one of the Multi-District Jurisdiction/ Area in Mindanao; 2.2. There shall be 4-5 players in one team representing their respective Masonic Lodge or District; 2.3. A Masonic Lodge/ District is only allowed to field one team; 2.4. The official line-up of players must be submitted to the Convention Secretariat prior to the start of the game for verification; 2.5. Said line-up shall be duly signed by the respective coach or team captain concerned; 3. FORMAT OF THE GAME 3.1. International Tennis Federation (ITF) rules shall govern the general conduct of the tournament; 3.2. The format of the tournament varies, depending on the number of participating teams: 3.2.1. If there are only two teams, the match shall automatically be the championship; 3.2.2. If three, there shall be a drawing of lots to determine the “bye” the “non- bye” teams shall play against each other and the winning team shall compete with the “bye” team for the championship; 3.2.3. If four, there shall also be drawing of lots to determine the pair. The losing teams shall be matched for the 3rd place and the winning teams shall pit each other for the championship; 3.2.4. However, if the total number is five or more, an appropriate format which shall be agreed by all teams represented by the team captain shall be adopted considering the limited time of the tournament;
3.3. For every match, it is best of three sets, with each set having 1 to 6 games. The format to be used are as follows: 1st Set = Doubles 2nd Set = Doubles 3rd Set = Singles (If necessary) 3.4. Prior to the start of the tournament, the players and the tournament manager shall agree on what specific method of “scoring a set” shall be used; it could be “advantage set” or “tie-break set” in accordance with the provision of ITF; 3.5. There is no “foot fault”; and 3.6. Should there be grey or mislooked areas in the mechanics, the Tournament Manager and the host DDGM shall judiciously decide on the matter. 4. TEAM COLORS AND UNIFORM 4.1. Teams shall follow the standard uniform of the tournament; 4.2. Every player shall dress and present himself for play in a professional manner. Clean and customarily acceptable tennis attire as approved by ATP/ ITF shall be worn. 4.3. Official standard uniform is defined as: 4.3.1. Preferably with upper uniform; 4.3.2. District color, if any, must be given preference; 4.3.3. Shorts must not be made of “maong and other non-athletic fabric; and 4.4. Players wearing long pants, jogging pants, watches, earrings, rings, or any other jewelry that may be injurious to other players are not allowed to play; and 5. SCHEDULE OF GAMES 5.1.
